Publisher's Summary

Three thousand miles, two secrets, one man who can change everything.

Samantha Smiles and Renee Montgomery have been best friends for over a decade. They’ve shared laughs, secrets, and a mutual hatred for one person: Tristan Montgomery, Renee's older brother. He was the guy every girl wanted, and every guy wanted to be, and it wasn't uncommon they'd befriend his little sister just to get closer to him. Which was exactly how Samantha became Renee’s saving grace. She was the only girl Renee could trust not to fall in love with her older brother.

Until the one night Samantha spent with him alone, leaving her questioning everything she’d ever known about the blond-headed heart-throb.

Years later, Renee asks Samantha to be her maid of honor. After being one-upped by her boyfriend's career, and with no other option, Samantha is forced to drive cross-country with the focus of their teenage ire.

He was her first kiss.

Her only secret.

Can Samantha survive the trip cross-country with the reckless Tristan Montgomery? The guy who did what he wanted, whenever he wanted, without worry for tomorrow? Or will she discover a different side of him - one that’s sweet, funny, and maybe a little bit vulnerable - and fall completely and helplessly in love for the first time in her adult life with the one man who could cause her to lose her best friend forever?

Let down

I picked this out after I “read” the CHAPTERS version. Which despite the whole having to pay for all sorts of pluses and choosing not to I still got an HEA, but I couldn’t help but wonder if the written version was better. I loved the story. There was nothing wrong with that, but the narrator was kind of monotonous and the writing was amateurish at best. Despite a predictable plot and all that a typical romance has, the story is what I liked, but it was pretty much all I liked.

The MOST pathetic heroine I've ever read

Are we sure shes 23? She calls herself a woman but shes a child, she talks like a child and acts like a child. I'm surprised she doesnt stomp her foot. Tristan needs to run for his life. Why shackle himself to this girl.

Good book

I truly enjoyed listening to this audio. After 2 bad selections, I was getting depressed. But the narrator was excellent, the storyline was great, characters were believable and down to earth. Tristan and Samantha were two beautiful people with big hearts and the author showed their capacity to love each other.

Love the story!

The narrator did an awesome job! Although I do enjoy more the stories when they are co-narrated. Love that Sam and Tristan are rediscovering each other. What’s meant to be, will be! 😍

Not a good heroine.

Things I liked: The male romantic lead was well written and likable. Things I didn’t like: (spoilers) The heroine was selfish, expecting boyfriend to quit a great opportunity for her road trip, breaking up over text and immediately having sex with the make lead, and being exactly like all the other girls the male lead didn’t like. Narration was boring too.

Okay.

Decent book. Had potential to be better. Better story, more in depth scenes, etc. The book felt sort of rushed. Not sure if it was the narrator or just the story in general. The narrator was eh.. like speaking either too fast or too slow. She sounded blah 90% of the time.

In love!!

I’ve missed reading love story’s. This book. Roughly it all back for me. Tristan is a dream man and definitely made me swoon. I think I have found my new favorite author. The narrator was a little monotone in parts but other than that I loved it.

Generic

There was no wow factor in this story. A friend recommended it, and the reviews seemed to be great. So, I decided to give this book a try. I already knew how it would end after five minutes and could tell the plots and twists that would arise after about thirty minutes of listening. I'm so over generic love stories that have no ”omg; I did not see that coming” or that don't keep me on the edge of my seat. There is absolutely nothing special about this book. After I write this review, I'm calling Audible to get my credit back.
