Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Enjoyable & Entertaining

Lainey Davis writes another wonderful novel in her “Oak Creek” series and I loved it as much as the first. It is Diana Crawford’s story, Diana, a botanist with a brilliant mind, she is independent to a fault, refusing to ask anyone for help and because she was burnt in the past she does not trust easy. She owns her own business, Houseplant Haven, but it is what she has set up in the back of the store that keeps her going and what she really wants to do, making new and beneficial creations with plant life. Asa Wexler is a venture capitalist, he is backing Hunter’s studies and is in town checking on progress. He is staying at the Crawford house and is stuck in Oak Creek because of a snow storm. He takes a walk into town and is taken with what he sees and then the unexpected happens. He was intrigued with Diana the 1st moment he laid eyes on her, he was used to woman throwing themselves at him because they wanted his money, but not Diana, the only thing she threw at him was snow, LOL! I loved these two together and for each other. The chemistry between them is smoking hot and while she pushes him away he sticks it out. This story is fast paced and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, some angst, great humor and laughs, heartfelt moments and some hot romance. It was great to see some of the characters from the first book again, got to love the Crawfords and their friends. Lainey Davis, thank you for this wonderful story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to be back on Oak Creek again!!

Lee Daniels did a great job narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she captures and projects the characters emotions in to her performance. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Enjoyable

This book has an interesting plot concept the characters Diana is independent to a fault, refusing to ask anyone for help and because she was burnt in the past she does not trust easy. She owns her own business, Houseplant Haven, but it is what she has set up in the back of the store that keeps her going and what she really wants to do, making new and beneficial creations with plant life. Asa comes into town to see how and where his investments are and meets Diana. He is immediately smitten and much as they want to avoid each other, fate seems to be pushing them together. I really enjoyable characters and it was editing amazingly. My only negative the narrator did an excellent job but I think a little direction on who she’s talking about like when she starts talking on Diana she should say Diana or maybe change the voice a little bit when she’s talking in the men’s voice it was a little confusing who is talking. I got the book but it took me a little longer to get back into the book because I had to stop go stop go enough to the point that it was not interesting for me. The narrator I think did an excellent job and I am hoping to see more of her work in the future.

Excellent story and narration!!!! Don't miss this

Tributary, an Audiobook by Lainey Davis was an book two in the Oak Creek series! This is the story of Diana and Asa. He’s a venture capitalist worth billions and she’s a botanist trying to get her business off the ground…after her ex-boyfriend stole her ideas. As a result she has some major trust issues. I loved the easy style Asa has…he treats her right…and with kid gloves knowing there’s some kind of pain beneath her tough veneer. She’s tough, strong, and wants nothing from anyone. She wants to do everything on her own. He wants to help her.
Gad!!! This series is absolutely mind-boggling!!! I’m completely immersed in the story and desperately want them to get beyond the baggage that they both carry.

The narrator, Lee Daniels did a fabulous narration of this intensely rich story!!! One mispronunciation…patent…but, I can overlook that since everything else was spot on!!!

I voluntarily received an Advance Copy of this Audiobook for an honest review.

Enjoyable

Enjoyed the story of Asa and Diana. Hot Jewish Venture capitalist, smitten with a strong intelligent and enterprising woman. Diana doesn't trust men, she prefers her ONS outside her small town city limits, after being screwed by her ex and making millions off her life's work. Asa successful and known to have a string of women at his back and call if he wanted them, but not since he landed in Oakcreek and met his latest investments sister. Sparks flew immediately between the two but Diana is no fool, she keeps Asa at arms length until he wears her down and they finally get their HEA..

small town sexy romance

Diana is a botanist, doing experiments using plants for medical research. Diana has trust issues, especially where men are concerned. Asa is a billionaire venture capitalist, who buys businesses and opportunity. He's confident in his work and women. But he met his match with Diana. No relationships. Diana has a lack of confidence and low self esteem. She slowly comes out of her shell, learns to trust and love again. Asa learns, not everything important in life is about money.
Lee Daniels narration was good. I enjoyed listening to the story. I was gifted this book and offered my honest review.

Tributary

Being the second book in this series, you get to see a lot of the same people with a few new ones added to the mix. This group of people is so fun that I wish I could be around them in real life. They have troubles that anyone could have and yet try to find a bright side of things and somehow, they find their perfect halves while doing it. I really enjoyed this book and will be keeping an eye out for when the next will be released.

Great narration

Lee Daniels did a great job! If the narration isn’t there sometimes I can’t even listen to the book. Lainey is a botanist. Asa is a venture capitalist. She’s been blindsided by her ex he’s got a lot to give. There’s a good amount of push and pull here. There’s a learning curve how to love and what’s important in life. This is the second book in the series but the first I read. I will go back for more!
