G.A. Gibson's historical fiction collection, The Book of James, begins with James Earp and The Tale of Jack Harp, as James Earp, Civil War veteran, gambler, brothel and saloon owner, husband and father, looks back at his life while contemplating revenge for the shooting death of his youngest brother. Often overshadowed by his famous siblings, James Earp's adventures bring a new perspective to the wild days of the old west.

If you like cowboys, trains, saloons and the western plains this book is for you. Gibson made me feel like I was right there in the old west. And Narrator Joe Westerberg really brings Gibson's straight forward writing to life. I throughly enjoyed this story!

a good story, gave the reader a clear picture without overdoing the descriptions. the narration was excellent. I like how well modulated the voice is, never dropping off at the end of sentences, clear and comfortable to listen to.

the narration voice was perfect for the story
