Publisher's Summary

Discover the origins of the warrior Clans in this thrilling prequel to Erin Hunter’s number-one nationally best-selling Warriors series.

The fourth installment in the Dawn of the Clans series takes audiences back to the earliest days of the Clans, when the cats first settled in the forest and began to forge the warrior code.

The first great battle has ended, and each group has agreed to a truce. But merely keeping the peace may not guarantee their survival. When a deadly disease threatens to strike deep into the heart of both camps, the cats must work together to find the only thing that can save them - the mysterious Blazing Star....

Well this was an odd turn of events...

Let's start with the positives. I love this narrator! He makes all the cats sound very different and the voice he uses when a cat has prey in their mouth is spot on. MacLeod Andrews is a new favorite narrator for me. Secondly, Thunder finally has a brain! Loving his new attitude after learning from his past mistakes over the last few books. Okay.

So, what happened with this plot? All the other books had a nice pacing and understandable actions on everyone's parts. I was annoyed about the naive decision making and still am, but come on.... characters are completely acting different than they have in previous books all of a sudden.

Plus did we forget about the last bad guy? Tiny spoiler, nothing feels resolved from the last Four Books by the end of this one! I can't believe I am continuing, but I desperately want to know how the clans started. We are one group away from four separate groups and no one is calling themselves a clan yet.

Voices didn’t sound right

Now I know I’m being picky but if you’ve read the other books the voices he gave them do not Match their character so I was kinda disappointed

But that might just be me
