Publisher's Summary

When American covert operative Chase Fulton returns home from his most recent mission battling a company providing weapons of war to the highest bidder regardless of their alliances, he finds himself haunted by a cryptic warning from the deputy director of Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency.

“There is someone close to you who is not what you believe them to be.”

Parallel assignments send Chase and his team into the wilds of the Rocky Mountains on the mission every operator fears he may one day be forced to face. Hunting down a traitor in their midst leaves Chase exploring the depths of his own self-doubt and questioning the loyalty of everyone he desperately longs to trust.

As the team is forced to divide itself between seemingly unrelated missions, one by one, the elite tier-one operators come face-to-face with their own worst nightmares and find themselves entangled inside a web of deceit, betrayal, and grave danger.

A murderous religious cult, enemies masquerading as allies, and lingering doubts come together, forcing Chase and his team into the most daring rescue mission of their lives. Will they find more than just an innocent victim held captive behind the walls of treachery, and will their rescue efforts restore the team’s faith in themselves and each other? Or will it only reveal mighty chasms that can never be closed?

With heart-stopping action, intrigue, and stunning settings like only Cap Daniels can deliver, The Bitter Chase will leave listeners second-guessing everything they believe about Chase Fulton and everyone around him.

The author's comments are excellent! As good as the book itself. Listen to it all.

Love this series

I rarely if ever write reviews. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the books in this series. The characters have developed to the point that they feel like family. There is enough realism mixed with a touch of the need for the willful suspension of disbelief that they make for a great listen. My only complaint is that I wish Cap Daniels would write them more quickly.

Love This series!!

I like that the narrative is easy to follow. I.bought this book.for light reading.or light listening. I didn't want to struggle to follow the plot. The series is written to n first person. That means there are no sudden jumps in perspective. The story is told through the eyes of the hero. Each chapter has a title. That makes it easy to return to the narrative after you left it!. The characters in the novels are well developed, and seem life like.. The author's passion for flying and sailing are apparent and adds to texture of the stories. There is very little down time between action sequences. I highly recommend this series.

Never lets me down!

Cap Daniels is an awesome story teller! These stories just keep getting better and better and more exciting by the minute. If you like covert operative stories you will LOVE this series! I usually read the printed version first out loud to my husband because we can not wait for the audio. Then after the audio comes out I listen to it. Even knowing the story the audio still keeps me on the edge of my seat. PJ is doing a great job telling these stories.
