Great story

I really enjoyed this. It was the first "billionaire" book that I had read and listened too, so I wasn't really sure...but it was really good. Loved the Cinderella type storyline. I enjoyed the characters and pretty much everything else. It's a good book. I recommend it!

I was surprised that the author narrated her own book. I haven't seen that before. But she has a really pleasant speaking voice and did a good job with expression and character differences.

I received an Audible copy from the author. All thoughts are my own.

Great story!

I received this ARC free from the author. this is my honest, voluntary review.

I enjoyed this story so much! I love that Drew was willing to accept Gwen's preference for simplicity, unlike other billionaire books where the rich guy just expects the girl to accept being spoiled. I prefer this couple's relationship. This book was well written. I have to also say that, out of the other narrators I've heard read Lorana's books, I think she did the best job. I look forward to more of her clean, but romantic reads.

language: clean (1 or 2 "by-words"; zero curse words)
behavior: clean (a few barely notable sis of champagne/wine)
Romance: clean (a couple of kisses, hand holding. without all the steam)

100% clean & sweet!

Miracles do happen

This is a sweet story. The recording of this story was very enjoyable. The personalities and depth of characters draws you in to keep listening. The narration is pleasant and easy to listen to. This story is well written and easy to believe. Gwen could be your child's teacher. I was cheering for all to work out as I listened. This story has that happily ever after ending. If you are looking for a sweet story this should be next on your list.

Cinderella meets Prince Charming

loved Lorana as the narrator
this is a bit of a Cinderella story but, I love those stories. Drew and Gwen are so sweet and unassuming at the beginning. Add in a grieving mom and a greedy ex of sorts and it makes for a great plot. you won't be disappointed.

Likable characters ... no laughter... no tears

Lorana Hoopes is a new author to me. I listened to the Audible version of the book. The reading is clear and well-paced.
The Billionaire's Christmas Miracle is, just as it is billed, a clean, sweet romance.
Drew and Gwen are likable characters. Gwen was orphaned at the age of 12 and grew up in the foster care system. She now teaches and has a part-time job with a caterer. Drew is the billionaire heir to a hotel chain. They hit it off when Gwen uses her friend's invitation to a masquerade ball. Throughout the story, the billionaire falls in love with the poor teacher and becomes a Christian.
While Drew experiences a change in the book, I would have liked to have heard the details of the change. Gwen is a Christian and Drew attends church for her. He has a couple of questions, mostly about song lyrics saying we are all unworthy of God's love. The idea of being unworthy bothers him since he's a good person, gives to charity, and is wealthy. Gwen explains this unworthiness to Drew by sharing how our works don't earn salvation. The story continues with attempts by Drew's mother and an ex-girlfriend to keep them apart and Drew announcing he is willing to walk away from the hotel empire and a relationship with his mother for Gwen. Near the end, a few statements are made indicating Drew has now become a Christian. The reader is left without the thought processes that led Drew through this change.
Bottom line, it's a sweet story and will pass a few hours. There's nothing to make you laugh or make you cry.

A twist on Cinderella with a miracle

Beautiful story about a poor teacher who meets a billionaire at a ball. She loses her bracelet with sentimental meaning and he returns it.
No evil stepsister or step mom but billionaire's mom is a snob.
Avery is religious and brings billionaire Drew to church.
Will he accept God's love and what forces are against them.
A miracle occurs in the book.
A heart warming Christmas tale.
