A bit Taboo

There’s an age gap with a touch of taboo going on here. I would’ve preferred to hear a more masculine tone for the male role, which made it a little awkward. The ending felt a little rushed and almost incomplete. Is there supposed to be a second part? The story moved song quickly and I always enjoy that. This was my first listen from this author so I don’t know if this is a newer author, but I’ll probably try a few more to see if it gets better for me.

Had potential but fell short

This was my first book by this author and narrator. Although i enjoyed the narrators job i think duel narration would have definitely helped. It was hard to tell who’s chapter it was sometimes since there was barely a vocal difference . The story itself could have been better. Once i decided go get over the plot the ending was so rushed i couldn’t believe the cliffhanger and resolution happened in the last 9 min.. too rushed . I like the little touch of taboo and the mild spice factor.

I had a good time with this.

Firstly I really think this should have a male narrator as well. Also starting this I had a somehow intro on him, but for her, she just dropped into the plot. How is it possible to have a best friend but haven't seen his kid in ten years. I struggled with this bit.

🎧 Half way point. I am a bit confused as the father is depicted of a certain age with whatever attribute comes with age, but the best friend who I supposed is around the same age, he acts and moves as a much younger man.

Finished. I think as a trope this is my first age gap romance. I am kinda not into it but I did had a good time with the story, it had some good potential to win me over. I personally found the ages of children and grandparents and parents and boyfriends a tiny bit distracting from the main romance.

I have a hard time with the daddy best friend moral part. I would have preferred it to be a duo narrative or male. I also don't get why he haven't seen the kid in 10 years and no back story on her. also why end like that. I wish there was more to the ended. why rush or cut off like that. is there another book.

Great Listen.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters and storyline were very entertaining. I listened to this story straight through. Such a great listen.

Great story.

I really enjoyed this book. I was pulled into this story from the beginning. I am glad Bethany was strong enough to stand up to her father so their relationship can grow. And I am glad Jessy really liked Bethany from the beginning and wanted her to be her mother.

Entertaining

I found this was a reasonable story but

The Billionaire Father Best Friend!

This is a fun read that I enjoyed listening to. It does have a little crazy in the form of Daisy. The story is about Bethany and Steve. He is a professor and is in the middle of a custody battle with Daisy, his ex wife and drama queen. He has just been with Daisy and their attorneys and goes to see he best friend, who is Bethany's father. When he sees Bethany for the first time in years he is instantly drawn to her. Bethany gives off vibes that she is mad with him. She is trying to start a school and thinks he is the one trying to stop her. This is a short and quick read/listen. It is a fake to more that develops pretty quick with some drama, theft, kidnapping, hospital visit, crazy, passion, love and more. I enjoyed every bit of it but wish it was longer.
