A bit Taboo

There’s an age gap with a touch of taboo going on here. I would’ve preferred to hear a more masculine tone for the male role, which made it a little awkward. The ending felt a little rushed and almost incomplete. Is there supposed to be a second part? The story moved song quickly and I always enjoy that. This was my first listen from this author so I don’t know if this is a newer author, but I’ll probably try a few more to see if it gets better for me.

Had potential but fell short

This was my first book by this author and narrator. Although i enjoyed the narrators job i think duel narration would have definitely helped. It was hard to tell who’s chapter it was sometimes since there was barely a vocal difference . The story itself could have been better. Once i decided go get over the plot the ending was so rushed i couldn’t believe the cliffhanger and resolution happened in the last 9 min.. too rushed . I like the little touch of taboo and the mild spice factor.

I had a good time with this.

Firstly I really think this should have a male narrator as well. Also starting this I had a somehow intro on him, but for her, she just dropped into the plot. How is it possible to have a best friend but haven't seen his kid in ten years. I struggled with this bit.

🎧 Half way point. I am a bit confused as the father is depicted of a certain age with whatever attribute comes with age, but the best friend who I supposed is around the same age, he acts and moves as a much younger man.

Finished. I think as a trope this is my first age gap romance. I am kinda not into it but I did had a good time with the story, it had some good potential to win me over. I personally found the ages of children and grandparents and parents and boyfriends a tiny bit distracting from the main romance.

I have a hard time with the daddy best friend moral part. I would have preferred it to be a duo narrative or male. I also don't get why he haven't seen the kid in 10 years and no back story on her. also why end like that. I wish there was more to the ended. why rush or cut off like that. is there another book.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters and storyline were very entertaining. I listened to this story straight through. Such a great listen.
