Story

Wonderful story and a lovely NARRATOR. I don’t know how this book ended up in my library, but since I needed to clean out unread books before purchasing something new so
chose this title.
What a delight that I got my attention.
Thank you to the author, the narrator, because it was an excellent choice for me to spend a couple of days in this world.

Loved!

I loved this book! I have enjoyed every book of Modglin, both thrillers and romance and this one was perfect! I loved the relationships with both Asher and Finn. I love how she writes and you feel the passion and feel the chemistry. Especially with Finn. If you have ever had that can’t-get-enough-of-you passionate love, you will feel it in this book. I did think a few things were a little too convenient to be believed but it’s a story and I accepted that. I finished it in a few hours I couldn’t stop. I loved the ending! I wished it wasn’t so short when it was over. Awesome book!

A good novel

A romance novel. Not a mystery. Narration was good. Plot was interesting but fairly predictable. Yet a break from author's usual darker novels. Worth listening to but not a great book.

Narrator made this one work for me!

I was invested the moment E.J. Lavery narrated the first sentence. Her smooth deep timber, and deep understanding of these characters made this book for me. The story itself fell a bit short with seemingly illogical choices at times but I still thoroughly enjoyed this HEA and the journey that our main characters went through!

Enjoyed every minute

From the beginning to the very end… a great story. Well presented. Well written. Nice ending. Off to get another Kiersten book.
