Problem is, I'm positive he's the exact opposite of husband material, and that is a serious issue for someone who is fixated on finding her happily ever after.

I know the rules and I know the stakes, oh wise Fortune Cookie. Now I'd just like to know how close to self-destruction I have to get before I find the will to quit Jude Winslow. Goodness knows, when your heart is on the line, you can't ante up your bet with an IOU.

Not my favorite by MM.

This one disappointed. The story was ok but the performance was not. The female sounded like she was just reading out loud rather than acting a role. Her distinct pronunciation of each “to” and “the” etc just sounded artificial. It was hard to get past it and get into the story. The story itself was certainly not one of the better ones by MM.

The book was really good and Romantic and serious sex no complain there. Cannot wait to read book number two.

Oh MY, all the feels!!

Just discovered Max Monroe and I LOVE her writing style, storylines, humor and characters. I mean I literally laugh out loud at some parts then am a ball of nerves.

MM Did it again

The is the second time I’ve read The Bet. Loved it all over again. Max Monroe are the best writing duo ever!

The Agony

Omigosh! I normally love these narrators. They were the reason I took a chance on an author unknown to me.

The story was what I expected, but, oh the painful, make-your-ears-bleed narration! Both voices sound completely animatronic. I don’t know what they did to achieve this lifeless reading, but it was so, so bad. Maybe it was the director, I dunno, but it was just awful.

I gave up at the beginning of Chapter 7 and enjoyed the rest of the book on my Kindle.

Good story and I’ll definitely search for more by this author, but think I’ll stick to my Kindle if I run into these two narrators on one of her books again.

Good narration and great sexual tension

So the narrators did a great job and the sexual tension between the characters was def there. What I didn’t like is how Jude is always just talking about her appearance and how turned on he is by it, he barely wants to talk about other stuff, and suddenly he is crazy in love without even knowing her… and then the scene of the roof top (trying not to spoil), I def rolled my eyes at that one. In the authors other books I felt like there was more of a change when the guys realized there was more going on and they would talk about something else they like about the woman and not just their looks. So I was a bit disappointed about that. I still really enjoy the Winslow siblings text chat, sounds hilarious being apart of that family.

Solid little book. LOTS of sex. Spicy! 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 1st of series. Read it because I inadvertently purchased a later one in the series that got higher ratings. This book was the lowest rating of all 4, so I'm excited about the next brother's story. Didn't love female narrator. Male narrator was fine, as long as you sped him up

Absolutely loved it is was funny, charming, suspenseful and overall heartwarming. I would definitely recommend and read this again.
