Good

I can’t stand Jules. I get that she looks like Aphrodite, but she is vapid, selfish, mean, hollow, and shallow. I cannot find a redeeming trait. Why two worthy guys would be so in love with her for so long rings false. She hates Silas until he shows her the casual power his money can buy. Until then, she is the grieving devoted “widow”. Once she sees what Silas can lay at her feet she tosses the ashes overboard. Until then she begrudged Silas his fortune. Perhaps she resented him for it. She is a case study for a psych major. Silas is a god on the other hand. So much I wanted him to deny her and her conniving grubby fingers. But he’s a god and that would be beneath him.

Loved it

This was a fun read. I loved the narration and the story was great. It Caught me from the first chapter.

Sweet story of friendship & love

This was a great book, it’s a reminder of how things are not always as they seem. It’s also a book about unselfish love & friendship

Great book

Loved how it worked with grief and love. Only was a bit annoyed when the FMC decided to take off. Felt like it broke the rhythm. Overall loved the story

Love this book so much

I read this book after release because I was so excited for it. I knew when the narrators were released I would also listen to it. The narrators did an incredible job bringing these characters to life. Lily do an amazing job with this story. It’s funny, it’s emotional, raw. Just so beautiful.

Chapter 20 was definitely ridiculous.

Did not like FMC. It was just an ok read for me. I feel like the MMC could do much better IMO.

The real love story is Grant and Silas

Juliet is vapid. She never becomes more than a foil. The deadly building and finding the letter bits are lazy tropes.

I loved this amazing, original story - at least for me

Within a beautiful love story, it took me to beautiful places that I'll likely never see for myself. Fun and unpredictable.

Loved everyone but the MFC

I enjoyed the first 2 books in this series and really liked all the characters. I love Silas and so many of the other characters in this book. I loved the travel and the things Silas and Juliet did on their adventure. But I did not like Juliet. She redeemed herself a bit toward the end but I felt she was far too whiny and rude. I understand there was grief but there have been many similar stories where the MFC didn’t come off as annoying. And I have to admit Grant wasn’t shown in the best light either. What could have been an emotional love story was more me screaming, “Come on, Silas, you deserve better!”

If you haven’t read the first two in the series you can still read this as a stand alone. But I liked them a lot better because the MFCs, for all their faults, were still likable so I recommend you give those a read.
