Publisher's summary
The day starts like any other, venturing into spider-bear territory to rescue Bennie’s sister.
Turns out there’s a lot of space that the Peacekeepers don’t go near - go figure, spider-bear territory is on that list.
And that’s just the start of their adventure. Things get interesting, quick! By interesting, I mean horrifying, of course.
Their old friend Xarrix calls with a job. A job that sounds straightforward and easy. That should have been their first clue. With nothing else on their plates, the crew of the Ghost find themselves in a sector of space deemed “untameable” by the Galactic Commonwealth, working with a warlord with some pretty big plans. That should have been the second clue.
Too bad none of the crew are detectives.
Learning from his past dealings with the crew of the Ghost, Xarrix assigns one of his own to stay aboard the Ghost to keep an eye on the crew and make sure they behave themselves - as if that was possible.
What’s worse, it’s someone the team knows and don’t particularly like.
And then there’s the space battles and grilled cheese.

When humanity reaches for the stars, our probes are destroyed. They crash into an incredibly advanced piece of technology: a massive force-field. Unknown beings have placed a barrier around our star and planets, enclosing us within. We’re locked inside a Great Sphere. Was this invisible obstacle built to imprison us - or to protect us? No one knows the truth, but it soon becomes clear the barrier has leaks. Aliens infiltrate and try to sabotage our efforts to escape our cage.

Story
Black Ops - the intelligence arm of the Meridian Alliance Fleet came calling with an offer Henricksen couldn't refuse: a ship - an entire squadron of ships, actually - and crew to command. A chance to get back to the stars. Too bad he didn't ask more questions before accepting the assignment. Too bad no one told him just how dangerous this particular skunkworks project was. They call the ship the RV-N: Reconnaissance Vessel-Non-combat, Raven for short. A stealth ship - fast, and maneuverable, and brutal as hell.

Story
The 200 years' (and counting) peace was a time of tranquility that hasn't been seen since...well, ever. Mankind in the Galactic Age had finally conquered war, so what was left for the military to do but drink and barbecue? That's the kind of military that Sergeant R. Wilson Rogers lived in before he left the fleet to become a smuggler. But it turns out that smuggling is hard. Like getting-arrested-for-dealing-with-pirates-and-forced-back-into-service kind of hard.
