To me it seemed to be a reimagination of Firefly (TV series). Or at least heavily influenced.

Great book

I don't often leave reviews, this book was great from the writing to the narration and the pace of the world building. I was disappointed at first after I realized this book leave so many loose ends. I did a little digging and discovered that 2 more books are planned for this year. I cannot wait.
