Bear Shifter's Mate

I really enjoyed this book!!! It was a very interesting story and a quick read. With all the excitement and action I was pretty much hooked from the beginning until the very end. Serena is about to become the matriarch of her clan. She is very young but there is only her to follow her in her grandmothers footsteps. The sister clan will have bears fight to see who will win her hand. She thinks this practice is archaic and would like to find her own mate. However, she must do whats best for her clan. She ask Tristen, who she has feelings for and knows is her true mate, to spend one night with her before she is relegated to the champion. He likes Serena but refuses to take her because, among other reasons, he thinks he is to old for her. He wants her to be with some that will be kind to her and treat her right so he talks his younger brother, Robert, into fighting to win Serena's hand. This was a very good book, with some action, humor and steamy romance. I loved the characters and the story. I love the part where she is trying to leave the cabin and Tristen stops her. Great suspense with the group trying to kill her.
