Amazing

Wow wow wow. What an action packed ride! Way better than any movie coming out nowadays.
After leaving Harry and Asher in their sleepy town we thought that was it, their happily ever after had arrived, but no, too many lose ends, too many bad people, it caught up to them.
Bad decisions, tempers, heartbreak, and deceit, but also the constant of Harry having Asher’s back and vice versa.
The search for 4 is on, and oh what a ride! Absolutely loved it.
Also adored seeing August and Jake from Tallowwood.
And I’m already in love with Captain and Medic, don’t know if they’re getting a book, but I loved them!

Excellent add on to an already perfect first novel.

I enjoyed the first book so much, I've read/listened multiple times. I went back to relisten recently and saw a new book in the series. So excited I started the first book and went straight into this one. There were a few times the torture dragged, but overall it was a great addition. Much more emotional, deep and graphic. I love hearing from Tallowood as well. Can't wait for Jay & Rhett's novel! 👀

Intense Action Balanced With Love Intense

I have really enjoyed NR Walker’s Milvus Files. Had to re-listen to The Kite before listening to The Bait. There’s a lot of interesting detail and an unintended warning about how easily fascism can thrive when billions are invested and how ruthless our fellow humans will be when driven by greed. I’m sure NR Walker wove this motivating theme into her spy/assassin/military and political novel because human vices are well known, but the theme rings loudly in my mind as America teeters on the edge of losing her Constitutional structure in 2025. My fears aside, please don’t miss this exciting ending of The Milvus Files! Romance, heartbreak, hope, loss, love, hot sex….all these aspects balance the edge of your seat action.
Glen Lloyd is a fabulous narrator, and his voice is perfect in this book. In fact, he’s become one of the narrators I follow, he’s that good.
Hope you enjoy this series as much as I have.
