Publisher's Summary
Adopest has fallen....
Field Marshal Tamas returns to his beloved country to find that for the first time in history, the capital city of Adro lies in the hands of a foreign invader. His son is missing and his allies are indistinguishable from his foes, and reinforcements are several weeks away.
With the Kez still bearing down upon them and without clear leadership, the Adran army has turned against itself. Inspector Adamat is drawn into the very heart of this new mutiny with promises of finding his kidnapped son.
And Taniel Two-shot, hunted by men he once thought his friends, must safeguard the only chance Adro has of getting through this war without being destroyed....

End of the road, wrap party
What did you love best about The Autumn Republic?
of the three books, I feel that Autumn flowed best. At no point I felt like I had to chew through a chapter to get to the good bits.
What did you like best about this story?
That is brought a very satisfying conclusion to trilogy
What does Christian Rodska bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
superb voice acting.
with the exception of Bo, who sounds like an old toothless man, not a strapping mage in his twenties.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
there were a few laughs, a few clenched butthole moments

fantastic trilogy
These were some amazing books and I loved every moment of listening to them. if you enjoy a complex lyrics woven story with multiple protagonists this is just for you. With a touch of magic but not much other fantasy elements this story is wonderfully colored, and I found my self caring for the protagonists and hating the antagonists. the way everyone is described and narrated makes you fall into the whole thing and I kept finding my self annoyed when I had to put it down. loved it.

Tamas and Taniel ride again!
What made the experience of listening to The Autumn Republic the most enjoyable?
Christian Rodska narration is superb. There are hundreds of characters and each is invested with a distinct accent. The only misfire for me was Bo the sorcerer who seemed like an old man not a 20 something wizard! But other than that...faultless!
What did you like best about this story?
It tied up all the loose ends from the other books in an exciting and satisfactory way!
What about Christian Rodska’s performance did you like?
His performance bought the book alive! He is superb!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I don't want to spoil the books for those who've yet to listen to them but there are lots of moving moments where characters lives were in peril.
Any additional comments?
A good listen. It was great to see a fantasy novel set in a world not disimilar to that of Napoleon and Wellington. Apparently the author calls the genre Flintlock Fantasy. The main characters of Tamas, Taniel and Adamat were well written. Some of the female characters less so. But kudos for having the women as soldiers who get involved in the blood and guts of battle. I really enjoyed this trilogy.

Excellent ending to an excellent series.
All the paths come home for a fantastic finale, again lots of stories intertwine and all of them get their conclusion one way or another but how will it work out?
I don't want to give any spoilers but it's a great book lots of threats still remain and the characters have a lot to do to make it to the end.
A thoroughly satisfying ending with still a few surprises in store.
Christian Rodska has been such a good narrator for this series that I'm going to check out other books he has narrated.

Absolutely Epically Awesome.
Bloody pit, that was absolutely bloody epic, wow the emotions and the feels after reading The Autumn Republic. What a conclusion to a fantastic series that just got better and better with each book. Damn my brain is spinning after that ending and the author did not disappoint. I really did not want this to end, Brian McClellan has truly given us something special with this trilogy. His characters are so good and though Tamas is the main protagonist, the other protagonists are just as amazing. So action packed with battles, gun powdered sorcery and magical gods looking to play politics. When the Field Marshal Tamas is off dealing with the King of Kez and his army South of the border, other players from the nine and their privileged sorcerers make a move on Adopest. Having to fight now on two fronts, can Tamas defeat the Kez and take back his city from from foreign hands. Read to it find out and I promise you will not be able to put this series down once you start reading from the very first page. Fantastic storytelling at its finest. The narrator Christian Rodska has given an amazing preformence through out the whole series. Now for Gods Of Blood And Powder trilogy, Kresimirs balls me nerves. I very highly recommend...😁💥💙

An amazing ending to the trilogy
Narration 10/10
The narration is just perfect. The voices for the characters feel spot on and the voice acting really brings the story to the next level. I'd say it's easily one of the best narrations I've heard and I could not imagine any way it could have been better.
Story 9.5/10
This novel ties up the loose ends from the previous two, giving answers to a lot of mysteries and questions and manages to give a great and satisfying end to the trilogy.
There is so much going on story wise, there are no dull moments here. Tamas and Taniel finally meet each other again and the story is propelled towards the finishing line with a lot going on on all fronts and unexpected events, twists and character deaths keeping you on edge until the story is over. The war needs to end one way or another and the "gods" will be more involved this time around.
Other than the action we do also get a lot of character development for many characters. I really liked that we get a lot more of Bo, learn a bit about his past and watch him get an apprentice,
And Bo is not the only one. By this point every character feels so "real" and not just a hero or a villain of a book, and the sense of danger is real too. I dare say that many of the main characters are some of the best written characters in the fantasy genre.
Overall, this was one of the best Audiobooks I've listened to. I would recommend it to anyone, same as the whole trilogy, and personally I'm looking forward to start the next trilogy in the series.

A thrilling ending
I needed a map in the second book to show me where Tamus and his army went.
I was lost. My visualisation of direction is always wrong, but the army managed to find its way home.
They ended their war with the Kez, only to find Adopest, has been invaded by another army brought in by the worst god of the lot.
The god wasn’t the only one with two faces.
Adamat has his eyes opened from his own investigations.
Good wins over evil.
Tamus finds his rest.
Taniel makes a wise choice.

What an ending!
Really spectacular story. I didn't feel like any of the books in the series were weaker than the other, the consistency across the series is truely impressive. Additionally, I love that each book is around 30h!! Nice fast paced action that doesn't end way too fast nor eat up audible credits way too fast.
Characters feel alive and the magic used is not insanely overpowered (which, I feel, is sometimes used by authors as a crutch for when things don't make sense. Glad to not see that here).
Potential spoiler alert** I also liked finally seeing a story where the union leader is not the traitor/real antagonist. I mean I'm not super pro-union but I think they're unfairly depicted in a lot of media when they've historically (and currently) have been important in alleviating inequality.
Back on topic: Very well done final book.
The performance was amazing too!! Rodska is a master of his craft. The only oddity (really minor) was the voice chosen for Borbador given his youth (sounds a bit too old imo).
I highly recommend!

We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.
