This workbook is like a warm, safe space for anyone ready to face their inner wounds with compassion. It takes deep, emotional work and breaks it into manageable, thoughtful steps that feel healing rather than overwhelming. I loved how it helped me reconnect with parts of myself I’d buried for years, especially around guilt and self worth when I was young. Evie Oakal writes with so much clarity and kindness that it truly feels like a guided journey back to your most authentic self. Highly recommend for anyone ready to begin healing from the inside out. Thank you.

This book felt personal. It made me slow down and really think about where some of my reactions and habits come from. The inner child chapter hit deep, and I didn’t realize how much I’d been holding in until I started reflecting on it. The parts on self-worth and emotional regulation made me feel like I had tools to actually handle stuff instead of just reacting all the time. Shadow work was a bit intense but in a good way. I started journaling after some of the exercises, and it's helped more than I thought it would. What I liked most is that it didn’t feel like it was judging me or trying to fix me. It just gave space to understand myself better. If you’ve been feeling stuck or like you’re repeating the same patterns, this book makes you feel seen and gives you a place to start changing things.

This audiobook, with its accompanying PDF version, is excellent. It's easy to notice that it was written from personal experience, which makes it that much more interesting and believable. It discusses a wide variety of ways to help with healing from childhood trauma and has great strategies and even exercises to help with that process. It's narrated in a way that makes you believe you will eventually overcome any childhood trauma you might still have as an adult. I highly recommend this audiobook

I really enjoyed this book start to finish. I found this audiobook to be comforting and easy to connect with. It creates a safe, supportive space for anyone ready to face emotional wounds with compassion. What stood out to me was how it takes deep inner work and breaks it into manageable, thoughtful steps that don’t feel overwhelming.

The CBT and ACT techniques were presented in a clear, practical way that helped guide me through the healing process. It encouraged me to reflect on parts of my past that I hadn’t fully acknowledged and gave me the tools to begin letting go. I especially appreciated the focus on rebuilding self-worth, the journaling prompts were powerful and helped me become more self-aware in a meaningful way. A great guide to self-love and establishing healthy boundaries.

This is a great audiobook to teach you of how you should be feeling versus allowing the negativity in your life to take hold. Nobody should be living up to some invisible standard. We all are deserving of great things and we shouldn't occupy our minds with guilt or self doubt. The images and thoughts we carry are not in our best interest. Once we've identified the negetive narratives we can use any of these positive thought provoking replacements to get change to happen. We need these affirmations to reinforce our inner critic. I like how the author called negative self talk "Eeyores" from winnie the pooh. Once we trust in these new processes we can begin to break free from unhealthy relationships and empower ourselves for long term growth. Theres some great holistic healing practices to induce mindfulness and emotional regulation. You'll love the new validation, you will see yourself change to a better you.
