  • Ep 114- Records- An Essay From Nowhere To Go On Happiness
    Jul 29 2022

We all chase happiness. We all want deeper connections. We all want to look and feel good. We all want to be successful. These are all part of being human. Unfortunately, many of us will never find the solution we seek. Not because there aren’t enough answers, but because we’re often caught up in the wrong chase and too blind to see that many of the things we crave are right in front of us.

In today's episode, I share my essay called Records.

It's all about happiness and how they remind us how uncomplicated our lives, too, can be.

  • Ep 113- How Grief Invites Depth And Gravity Into Our Lives
    Jul 22 2022

I read a quote the other day that said our wounds and traumas are salt mines from which we gain a precious essence without which the soul cannot live. That's powerful. When you realize all the pain in your life arises out of neglect from what you were afraid of most, the way we show up to this world takes a new shape and meaning.

In today's flow, I talk about acceptance in life through grief and how it shapes who we are and who we choose to become.

  • Ep 112- Lies That Limit Our Potential & How To Stop Them
    Jul 15 2022

We all have stories written by outside forces in our lives. Our harsh inner critics depict how the story goes. Identities wrapped up in the pain of our fathers and mothers. Closed off hearts from broken stories of love. Camouflaged personalities are hidden behind high performance. However we walk through life, rarely do we ever stop to think about why we are doing the things we do.

In today's podcast, I share with you how to recognize lies that limit your potential, and what you can do to stop them.

  • Ep 111- 3 Inevitable Paradoxes In Life
    Jul 8 2022

Nothing in life is certain, but these truths are. In today's podcast, I talk about the idea that life is like looking through an hourglass, watching grains of sand fall to your feet. Often we find ourselves in no-win situations. So what we can we do? Listen in as I share three paradoxes in life.

    In this flow, you'll discover

    - 3 inevitable paradoxes in life
    - Why life is like an hourglass and each choice is a grain of sand
    - How to lean into fear and uncertainty with trust

  • Ep 110- Why 3 Years Of Sobriety Hurts The Most
    Jul 1 2022

I am now three years sober. Not only am I free from substances, but I am also a father to a six-year-old girl and the happiest I’ve been. I have learned that growth on this planet isn’t always going to feel good. Sobriety is an exploration of my fears, worries, and who I am underneath the surface. It’s where I stand in my truth and do not care what anyone else thinks. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

In today's episode you'll listen to:

    - How I started drinking and why it led to addiction

    - Why my third year has been the most challenging

    - A few poems I wrote about struggling with addiction

  • Ep 109- Deeper Than The Surface - From my book, Nowhere To Go
    Jun 17 2022

In anticipation of the audio version release of Nowhere To Go, I am sharing with you some professional recordings of essays from my book over the next few weeks. I am really excited to get this project out into the world, especially with the uncertainties we are all facing.

We all want to believe we control our lives, yet we ignore what we feel inside. We walk through most of our lives wearing an identity shaped by our family, friends, and environment. There’s an implicit code that governs how we should live our lives, and it’s one that often leaves us lost and empty.

The truth of it all is that you can’t find meaning in life if you aren’t honest with yourself. Perhaps our purpose in life is a lot deeper than the surface-level shit we’ve been taught to believe.

That's what you'll discover inside this episode.

  • Ep 108- The One Promise We Are All Granted In Life
    Jun 10 2022

When I began writing this book, my dad let my family know he was slowly dying of cancer. The disease spread into his bones and is eating away at his insides. Seeing him live through the process has been one of the most painful experiences to watch from afar. Yesterday was his 73rd birthday, and we celebrated as a family, It was a special moment.

Today's podcast is a compilation of my book and how I feel about the one thing in life we are all promised.
