Publisher's Summary

After stopping a serial killer and shutting down an interstate human trafficking ring, Sloan Jordan is ready for a break. But back at home in Asheville, her problems have only just begun.

The supernatural world has taken an interest in her, and strange things are happening. Her powers are multiplying, she's plagued by vivid nightmares, and a deranged young woman, babbling an unknown language, has been detained by police. The only clue to her identity - Sloan's name carved into her arm.

If that wasn't enough, the FBI has launched a full-scale investigation into her private life, believing Sloan might not be as innocent as she claims.

With her boyfriend, Warren Parish, deployed with the Marine Corps, Sloan is left in the protection of Detective Nathan McNamara. And their complicated friendship is about to be tested. Sloan has a secret...one that could turn even Nathan against her forever.

There are just no words to describe how good these are!!

This series is gonna get me fired!! I listen to it every break I get!! I can’t wait to get in the car and listen. Brittany Pressley is the best narrator ever! Her women sound like women. Her men sound like men and you know each one by their voice. I can’t wait to get book 3!!!

Very Enjoyable, Again!

The action takes off again! There is a lot going on in this love triangle, but a couple more key characters enter, making for a full house at Sloan's. Now, another?

STORY LINE IS GREAT

Yes the story line is great. Warren, Adrian even Nathan; their characters are solid. By the 3rd book and ALL THAT SLOAN has experienced.. OMG you would think she'd grow up and shut up. She complains CONSTANTLY, she is selfish and arrogant. Being a strong independent woman does not mean you have to become so arrogant that you're rude to EVERYONE who is helping you.

That the only part of this awesome story that actually grates on my nerves.!

Why do I keep listening to the series? because I'm 3 books in and I want to know how it ends. I'm really hoping her attitude changes.

Now we meet Warren's dad!

The Angel of Death
By: Elicia Hyder
Narrated by: Brittany Pressley
Series: The Soul Summoner Series, Book 3
There is a big surprise for Warren and he meets his dad! Thankfully he wasn't anything like Sloan's mom! More characters, more excitement, suspense, and romance! Very interesting series!
Great narration!

If you're into double standards.....

The double standard / hypocrisy doesn't sit well with me (in any gender), especially since only one person seems to benefit the most. you can't control your feelings, but you can control your actions - this level of hedonism just isn't my thing.....

...

good narration and I'm enjoying the series so far.

Only think I would say is, I feel like theres an elephant in the room. Books 2, 3 and 4 I've been waiting for someone to address what seems to me a glaringly obvious "plot hole" (for lack of a better word) with Sloane and Warren's connection that's been skipped over, really don't know how to explain without giving away spoilers for those who haven't read the series yet so I'm just going on to book 5 and assume that at this point it's just going to be brushed over and forgotten which is kinda frustrating/disappointing.
