Publisher's summary

What happens to us when we die? Many think of heaven as an unimaginable state of bliss. As for hell, it's far out of proportion to any sin we might have committed and makes a travesty of God. But what if the afterlife was something very different?

Three decades of research have taught the author, a world expert in the field of death and afterlife studies, where the most reliable sources are to be found. These accounts are far better developed and more plausible than anything found in the world's scriptures or theologies. We hunger for a reliable revelation telling us that life here and now is meaningful and good, that each of us has an important part to play in its proper unfolding, that we are accountable for all we do, and that the spirit-denying materialism all around us is a mistake. The world ahead, unlike ours, is fascinating and fair. Authentic channels through which the "dead" speak are the closest thing to the voice of God that our planet has.

great information!

I listened to it several times. Assassinated five what I'm learning that mediums claim the spirits have told them about the afterlife. My only complaint is that the narrator, who speaks with very good expression, mispronounced a number of words, such as satiety, depths, and monsignor.

Excellent, Thought Provoking

The hope and meaning found in this book could cure the world. We've lost our way and these messages point to our purpose and our work here on Earth and after.

Wow!

I was raised in a Christian household where I grew up to believe that the only way to get accepted into Heaven was to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that anyone who doesn’t, goes to hell (Not all Christians are like this though which I later found out). But, ever since I could remember, things just didn’t feel right and I just couldn’t force myself to believe something I didn’t believe. I am 32 now but when I was around 23 or so, I finally told my parents what I actually felt to be true by going off this path slightly to other alternatives and to just not be so close minded. I told them I believed we were all under the same God and it just looked like there’s a bunch of different religions based off of what country you grew up in. It turns out after listening to this amazing book that my intuition was right. Always trust your intuition. Others do make God seem like an ass if he’s going to sentence someone to hell for making human mistakes. I recommend you listen to this book and expand your knowledge!

Fascinating!!

They Say the truth can be felt ..The words from the
afterlife definitely inspire us to live fully with no fear
of the Physical death of the body for its only the wrapper hiding the Golden Ticket to a perfected Soul and Closeness to the Most high.

As one who has experienced an NDE...

Anyone who has studied in the realm of Christianity will recognize an eastern mystic form called Gnosticism. It has levels and emanations and gradients of spirits. Speaking as one who had a profound and memorable NDE, I find much of this book to be pure horse (product). It seems that those who contributed, or whose materials were accessed, intertwined whatever experience they had with their own religious background. This is far less about the actual afterlife, and far more about what people with a religious bent wish it would be. Some parts accurately represent life after death, while others are sure, fresh, steaming, malarkey. No, thanks.

Boring narrator

Started out okay and then lost me completely after the first Chapter. I have read much better on this subject but to each his own.
