When a chilling letter arrives inviting them to the Weeping Hill Inn, twelve-year-old Mirabelle and Everleigh—keepers of things that go unnaturally quiet—recognize a call for help. But this is no ordinary haunting. The inn is a farm, its gentle ghostly guests trapped in endless loops of their final moments, their sorrow milked by something ancient and hungry buried beneath the foundations.

Now, with a grieving father and their small band of friends, the sisters must check in for a night. Their mission: break the loops, free the ghosts, and confront the Griever in its lair. But as the inn locks its doors at nightfall, they discover the true horror isn't being trapped with the dead—it's becoming part of the harvest.
