When clients can't easily judge the quality of the services they purchase, they turn to standards to help gauge it. In this episode of the ATA Podcast, ASTM subcommittee chair and ATA member Steve Lank discusses the origins of ASTM translation and interpretation standards, how they were developed, and what they mean in practice for language professionals.
