Great content, just very repetitive

SO you have great information but the book probably could have been cut down by half. I don't know why you have to tell the same information multiple times with multiple examples. Its not rocket science.

Apply this right away!

I loved this extremely logical and objective outline of how to effect positive change in a work environment (really ALL work environments!). I bought a hard copy so I can bookmark the points that are relevant to my work place and will be passing it along. The whole book is loaded with valuable data and identifies as many obstacles as possible. Highly recommend!

More sales than story

The concepts were good but he spent way too much time selling. Ruined the book for me.

Great Advise. Slow Read.

Great Advice!!! I use it daily!! Slow read though. It was hard to get through. Really worth it for team building and I also use it in my personal life now too. I don't regret listening to this book.

Addresses specific issues of the workplace

The text is Informative and in Dr. Chapman's style while placing the 5 Love Languages in the workplace context. Anybody who works with a group and leaders alike can have some take aways from this book. It's 4 stars and not 5 due to the narrator- very dry and slow. Chris Fabry is a much better narrator; he narrated another of Dr. Chapman's books, "Loving Your Spouse When You Don't Feel Like It".

Don't Miss the Mark

In a professional environment, it is very difficult to make sure that everyone feels valued and appreciated. The book and accompanying quiz are very helpful tools for those that want to ensure that their team is valued and appreciated. The results of value and appreciation are a "No Brainer" and are truly priceless for a company. If you care about your company and your team, do yourself a favor and read this book and take the quiz. You can also purchase additional quiz codes for those that do not want to read the book, or that you would just like to find out their Language of appreciation.
I would have to agree with some other reviews in that there is some repetition in the book, and that does make it a little harder to pay attention to. Also, the narration is in a soothing voice that could lull some to sleep.

blah.

skip the entire book and just do the test at the end. I lacked the patience for this book perhaps. I was not drawn in to read more. I could not get thru it. the narrator is tolerable. the topic is useful and because I could not get thru it, maybe dont be guided by my lackluster review, however my coworkers had to read it too and no one raved.

Fantastic Content

The content in this book is fantastic, however, the narrator is a bit frustrating to listen to as he pauses in the weirdest places and makes it difficult to follow along at times without the text to read along with. However, it was great being able to 'read' all the content in this book while on a long drive - there are definitely plenty of things that I will now implement after this book.
