the mysterious help

The adventure continues with the kids on the run again from other family members, but this time they have some help from a stranger which takes them all the way to Russia to discover about the Romanov family and the history of the horrible fate of the once strong Russian family. The kids realize that they can not do this hunt on their own so they find allies in the Halt family. Still on the run from the Catarina family they Cahill children are getting smarter at losing them, without having the break any laws. In the end they will learn they do have allies in the strangest places, and not only will they learn about the clues but they will also learn about their parents as well. The Black Circle has many secrets that will scare and amaze the Cahill children.

39 Clues continues

What made the experience of listening to The 39 Clues, Book 5 the most enjoyable?

David Pittu continues to draw you into the lives of Amy and Dan Cahill and their search for the 39 Clues. My children (9 &10) and I thoroughly enjoy our(20-30minute) trips to and from school listening to this series.

What did you like best about this story?

Historical references.

What does David Pittu bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Creates depth to the characters through a wide range of accents.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If we were on a long car trip we would definitely listen to this all the way through.

just read it

i cannot comment on every writer individually because the books sort of ran together for me during a week trip. I read them all and cannot pinpoint every writer.
I can say that they were all wonderful and have great stories mixed with history and geography. They can teach in a great fun exciting atmosphere.

2nd best in series

For me, this is the best book of the series since the first book. There seemed to be more in this book than just one hard spot to get out of after another. This book seemed to have a little more meat to it. However, this book does raise questions about the nanny that do not get addressed in this book. I can't say I am happy about that possible turn of events.
