Publisher's summary

Winning an empire was the easy part. Keeping it will be harder.

After killing Rahaab, the most powerful dragon on Earth, Steven Drokharis knew he’d have to fight to keep what he’d won, but the cabal that killed his father was just the tip of the iceberg. He’ll have to fend off a cult of shapeshifters, magical constructs, and two devious, busty, machine-gun-toting twins, all while keeping his escort of human and dragon women satisfied. Meanwhile, the eyes of ancient demons are ever searching for signs of dragons, and the deadliest threat may be close to home.

Disclaimer: Texas Showdown (American Dragons, Book 4) is a shoot-em-up, action adventure, urban fantasy novel which is not intended for listeners under the age of 18. This novel contains swearing, violence, and a harem of beautiful shapeshifting women that the hero regularly sleeps with - and he does so gladly.

Great Series... Narration is Fantastic

I have listened too every book in this series that has been released to date. Unlike most, the story gets better with each new volume. Plenty of action mixed with a healthy dose of NSFW activity. Each character is unique and well developed, I really enjoy the depth and diversity. I’d certainly recommend this series to all who enjoy this genre.

Narration is just perfect. The storyteller has different accents and personalities covered well. Given the large number of characters, this is really impressive. I’ll definitely continue seeking out books he’s involved with.

Fascinating Story

This is my first read by this author and I found it fascinating. The characters are well developed and the world building very descriptive. The narrator was wonderful bringing the story to life. Although this is book 4 I believe I was able to comprehend the story well even without reading previous books in the series. That being said I am interested enough to go back and start from the beginning to get the full story.

Excellent story!

I’ve enjoyed this story so much; in fact I now have to purchase the entire series! The narrator is excellent, the characters well fleshed out, and the plot just intricate enough to keep you guessing.

Feels like half a book!

My biggest problem with this book series is how shot the books are. Honestly, it’s hard to justify buying any audiobook that’s under at least 12 hours long at very minimum. If I can finish a book in one shift that’s just sad.

The great destroyer

In this volume Steven the great destroyer He's insisting on carrying on his father's work My biggest problem with this volume is the fact in a matter of Stevens personality and why I called a question on it where I think it's not real it's not logic Your family was murdered You decide to get revenge and you get it then you turn around and start murdering everybody else so that way they can go through the same thing that you went through all for the sake of caring on your father's work And yet he is supposed to be some great hero or great leader into the next revolution In the author has to go to great lengths to keep saying over and over I'm just a simple guy he I'm just a simple hard worker it's funny what you're saying and your actions they're not
alike they're telling me 2 different things As a reader I'm trying to get behind the main character I'm trying to see if through his eyes and if it's difficult or I'm questioning his Motives I'm not really gonna have a good experience As the reader reading this adventure if that makes Once again I ask who is Steven And also please do not tell me Who he is show me their his actions show me through his words and make sure that they are the same For example He can't be a killer 1 second and then the very next second starting to give a damn about life after butchering a whole entire clan as a reader you're gonna be asking yourself what?

Bad people survive just because they are hot?

I dislike the twins in this book so much and hate the fact that he trust them so fast, it’s bs, it’s just a personal opinion but they should have died
