Great mix of short stories.
This is a collection of 10 short stories, Jackson Stables by Ron Ripley, Music Box by A. I. Nasser, Lost Dog by David Longhorn, Trick or Treat by Sara Clancy, The Steak House by Ron Ripley, Thunder Run by David Longhorn, Faces by A. I. Nasser, Initial Impression by David Longhorn, Closer by Sara Clancy and The Sins We Hide by A.I Nasser. I usually avoid short story collections because I always end up unsatisfied with the stories, they seem to always feel rushed and not complete, but I loved this collection and each book felt like a full story. I didn't feel like the stories were unfinished!
I also usually write notes to myself when reading short stories so I can keep track of what each one was about and my thoughts on each, but I forgot to with this one because when I started listening, I couldn't stop. Each story was well written, some were a lot creepier than others but each one was thoroughly enjoyable and kept me hooked.
Each author has their own distinctive style but one thing they have in common is their ability to tell a story. I think my favourites were the Steak House, Closer and The Sins We Hide.
Thom Bowers has grown a lot as a narrator and has become a better performer. He read each story really well and gave each character their own voice and personality.
I was given this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Top notch narration for this collection of short stories
I received this audiobook free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I wouldn’t say that any of these short stories will be overwhelmingly memorable in the horror genre overall, though they were well written and kept up a creepy vibe. What really is the strong point of this collection is the narration by Thom Bowers. His voices and tone add to the creepiness of what might otherwise be a lackluster collection in written form. My favorite of all the stories was by far the one about the missing girl saved for last. While it wasn’t highly original, and I saw the twist coming a mile away, I think Mr. Bowers did an excellent job of narrating that does lend to the listener being unsettled as it played out.

Great short story collection
I loved this collection of short stories. Well worth reading. From ghost horses, all till the end with a chilling story of a little girl and her want of revenge. These writers have given me many hours of entertainment and creepy vibes. The narrator is so good at his job, that now enough when I read one of Scare Street many books I imagine this narrator's voice in my head. Read this book you will not forget these stories.

This is volume one of a whole lot of creepiness!
Sometimes you can tell exactly when a person went wrong, and the trouble they’re going to face, and sometimes you can’t. I’m not sure which I like more, knowing, or finding out! The creepier, the better! This is pretty creepy.

Very good, wanted more
This book has a couple more stories than the ones indicated in the blurb.
I liked a lot one were the victim/"bad" guy is so arrogant as to try to fight the paranormal phenomenon with just his will. Pretty cool.
The stories are long enough shorts, but I kind of fell like the ending is never enough. All the writers and narrator were very good, so I wanted them to be longer and have more juice (as in background story) in a general way. Even so, I loved when the stories ended with something like news clippings with the aftermath of the story - because no one is alive to tell the tale, right... (I'm kidding! That's not the case... all the time.)

Awesome Collection!
Review Copied from My review of the "Shadows Books 1-3" Set:
I own all the books in this series in both Kindle and Now Audible formats. While I Love being able to read the books, being able to listen to them while driving my car too is even better. There's nothing better than a short trip to the store and being able to listen to something just perfect enough for short trips. Highly Recommended.

a wonderful mix of engaging stories
I must admit I have a guilty pleasure of loving these short story compilations. Sometimes you just dont have the time to commit to starting a very long novel so I love the fact that these tales are just the right length and easy to dip in and out of. The novel contains a great mix and selection of tales and although some kept ke on the edge of my seat more than others ..all were as equally enjoyable in their own rights. A very strong selection . I have read/listened to some compilations that I feel just add some stories In between as fillers. This series definitely does not do that. I recommend to all readers that love the paranormal / horror genre as much as I do . I was given this book by the author / narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review
