‘Some days I feel like I’ve lived more than one lifetime, so, couldn’t we be right for each other this time around?’

Everyone is talking about this book:

‘Such a warm, lovely read with two characters you’re desperately rooting for’ Cesca Major, author of Maybe Next Time

‘It's a total belter… I loved the slow burn and just the warmth and funniness of the writing. Was gagging for them to get it together’ Kirsty Greenwood, author of Big Sexy Love

Becca and Charlie have known each other since university.
Becca and Charlies have also hated each other since university.

Until now. Until Ally’s bucket list. The death of their loved one should mean they can go their separate ways and not look back. But completing the list is something neither of them can walk away from.

And sometimes, those who bring out the worst in you, also bring out the very best…

Over the course of ten years, Becca and Charlie’s paths collide as they deal with grief, love and life after Ally.

Not since Emma and Dex in One Day and Will and Lou in Me Before You will you root for a couple as much.

First, I love the narrator. She is superb. I've listened to this twice now within the last month. Love a good enemies to lovers story. I like the way the story sweeps across the years. There are a few times when the angst is a little too drawn out, and I wish we were given a little more details to each characters developing internal love. It was totally worth the credit and it will likely be one I go back and listen too again while skipping a couple chapters.

Takes a minute to get going but worth it

The best slow burn romance I’ve read in awhile. And with such well-developed characters. Already fantasizing about who would be cast as Becca and Charlie ❤️

This needs to be made into a movie

Absolutely loved reading this book. I loved how the author brought these two characters that on the surface are different yet share the damd pain of losing a love one.

I love how over the years as they heal their hearts from losing a friend and fiancee they begin to see each other better.

Lovely written

First- this narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites. She’s animated, gives it emotion, and inflection is great!

The story itself had me hooked. 2 genuinely loyal friends who put aside the contempt they have for one another to honor a loved one and keep her memory alive. While I’m not sure the background and relationship dynamics are fully believable, I’m not looking for realistic in books (i get plenty in real life) I’m looking for entertainment and a happily ever after, so I’m willing to look past that in the interest of feel good story. I also had a hard time relating to the MCs reaction a few things. But again, I’m the name of a happy ending, I wasn’t too terribly bothered by it.

Good story about love and loyalty that leaves you feeling hopeful about friendships and relationships if you find the right people :)

Interesting plot, great narration, entertaining
