love listening to the author

Now I had a chance to read a few pages of the book in a library and decided to get it on audible. But I was worried that the person reading that would bore me. Yet it was the complete opposite! She has a voice, a way to present it that in the 1st 3 minutes she already has you. The way she talks really grabs your attention and inject the reasoning she's trying to have you see.
This was definitely something I needed to hear because I know I have a problem being clingy even when I'm not in relations with that person anymore. I have a hard time just letting go of a friendship always wanting to believe it can revive again. So even though this isn't as long as normal books her Bluntness definitely helps for you to see reason. besides listen into the examples of situations that you know we should not fall in. an even as a little girl I sow it as a embarrassment to see/hear women fall so low.

Awakening

Some of the reviews on this book mentioned that Dr. Laura is a hating on women and belittling them. On the contrary, I took it as a pep talk! Women don't always want to hear the truth about their feelings because it hurts too much so they push them aside. However, if you honestly listen to this book with an open mind instead of being defensive, you will find the power it holds to helping women change their thought process towards relationships.

it was straightforward and accurate

women need to stop playing the victim and stepping up for themselves they need to discover who they are before they act on what they want

Too bad it's abridged.

Would you try another book from Laura Schlessinger and/or Laura Schlessinger?

Yes, however, it's abridged so it served as a teaser that encouraged me to pick up the book and read it. An unabridged version isn't currently available as an audio.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

She bullet pointed her lessons and found extremely appropriate stories to illustrate them.

Have you listened to any of Laura Schlessinger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is alot like her radio show but its' more like a greatest hits. It's better than her radio show at points because she doesn't have to tease out the questions and there's no rambling from the callers.

Was Ten Stupid Things Women Do to Mess Up Their Lives worth the listening time?

It was an excellent use of my time.

Any additional comments?

The recording was only an hour and a half. That's shorter than her radio show, that's ridiculous.

Loved it!!!

I absolutely love this book. I enjoyed the advice which was accompanied by supporting stories. I felt like that was what kept me engaged. Sometimes advise seems like common sense, but you need to hear it from someone else. The author is charming and gives off fun aunt vibes. I enjoyed her voice. Overall loved it will pick up the complete book sometime soon.

Horrible

I actually have the book if I could upload a photo I would , so that I could show you when you listen to it via audio books and try to follow along with the words on the pages of the book it jumps from chapters to chapters worst investment I’ve ever made on an audible book and I definitely would like my money back

Patronising tone not for everyone

Some good thoughts but not sure most people would feel included. For the women stuck in their relationship, not sure what to do.
