Take one look at Kevin Smith: He's a balding fatty who wears a size XXL hockey jersey, shorts, and slippers year-round. Not a likely source for life advice. But take a second look at Kevin Smith: He changed filmmaking forever when he was twenty-four with the release of Clerks, and since then has gone on to make nine more profitable movies, runs his own production company, wrote a best-selling graphic novel, and has a beautiful wife and kids. So he must be doing something right.

Story
As this book's title suggests, Norm Macdonald tells the story of his life - more or less - from his origins on a farm in the-back-of-beyond Canada and an epically disastrous appearance on Star Search to his account of auditioning for Lorne Michaels and his memorable run as the anchor of Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live - until he was fired because a corporate executive didn't think he was funny. But Based on a True Story is much more than a memoir; it's the hilarious, inspired epic of Norm's life.

Publisher's Summary
It's anything but Grimm when the Tell 'Em Steve Dave crew gives their hilarious takes on some of the best and least known fairy tales.
Join Bryan Johnson, Brian Quinn and Walt Flanagan with special guest Sunday Jeff as they create a magical world of fantasy and wonder, trolls, living plants, and sinful dwarves. It doesn't get any better than this...or funnier.
Not for children but definitely for those who are a child at heart.

Sunday Jeff is God amongst men.
Where does Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
After listening to this I wanted nothing more than to forget I'd ever 'been' with any other audiobook. I'll forever regret and lament that I hadn't stayed pure and let TESD Fair-re-re tale theater take my audiobook virginity.
What other book might you compare Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater to and why?
Compare it to another book? You're kidding, right? Why not compare the sun to a match? The finest French wine to fetid Florida swamp water? What a ponderous request you make!
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
Bry, Walt, Q, and Sunday Jeff....are Seraphim. Their voices are second only to God's own.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I challenge anyone to employ an alternate solution. The credits alone are superior to the content in total of every other audiobook ever published.
Any additional comments?
I'm starting a Kickstarter project to fund the resculpting of Mount Rushmore in the images of Bry, Walt, Q, & Sunday Jeff. Have four men ever held such sway over the collective attitude and mindset of an entire nation? I think not.
These men are extraordinary.
These men are unique.
These men transcend the divine.
Just kidding. They're lil ol ants just like the rest of us.

Tell em Steve-Dave does it again!
Where does Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was the most enjoyable and entertaining podcast I have listened to so far.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater?
Every moment was gold covered with diamonds and urinated on by the queen herself!
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The Performances were better than watching Shakespeare in the the park. However, my opinion may be heavily influenced by the fact that I did not have to experience this audio book in a park which in my town are filled to the brim with homeless junkies drinking hairspray.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I was afraid that if I stopped the world would stop spinning. Was my fear irrational? probably. But I'll never know for sure, because I refused to find out.
Any additional comments?
Anything TESD does is Golden. This is no exception. It was an enjoyable laugh-a-doo, which is Canadian for "It was an enjoyable laugh-a-doo"

The greatest money grab I've ever heard.
Would you consider the audio edition of Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater to be better than the print version?
Hearing the voices of the Tell Em Steve Dave boys, with the addition of Sunday Jeff makes it ten times better.
What other book might you compare Tell Em Steve Dave Fair-re-re Tale Theater to and why?
It is in a league of its own.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The nuance of their character and enthusiasm for the stories.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh, lots of laughs
Any additional comments?
Keep bringing more, and I'll buy it. Horror would be great, maybe a reading on Greek or Roman myths. Pick and I'll jump at it.

Expanding the idiom
Anybody can simply read words on a page and try to add character voices, but Tell 'Em Steve Dave went well past that providing insight and commentary into some classic fairy tales. You won't get just the "what" here, you'll get hilarious opinions on the "why".
