Jimmy Roberts loves to watch the Robot Races, a competition for drivers and their robot vehicles. It's his favorite sport! So when it's announced that there's going to be a junior Robot Race, he would love to be part of it, if only he could afford a robot. Luckily, Jimmy's grandfather helps him by transforming his beat-up old taxi, and Jimmy is off to the races, going head-to-head with the horrible rich boy Horace and his NASA-designed car. Joe Jameson's bubbly performance injects excitement and a child-like sense of wonder to Axel Lewis' classic struggle between the haves and have-nots.
