Publisher's summary

Pull up a chair. And prepare for a scare....

An artist struggles to hold on to her soul as she feverishly completes a deadly masterpiece. The death of a movie producer unleashes an ancient reel of film with a dark secret worth killing for. And a woman gets the scare of her life as strange intruders break into her home....

Welcome back to Hannigan’s, the tavern of a thousand tales. In this cozy neighborhood pub, everyone has a story to tell. But those stories don’t always have a happy ending.

As you sip your drink and listen to another nightmarish tale, you slowly realize the crowd around you has changed.

Their whispers and murmurs become growls and snorts. And as the room grows darker, their eyes start to glow.

Claws and fangs gnash in the shadows, hungry for blood.

It’s closing time.

And it looks like the last drink is on you….

Welcoming back to the short story

It’s been my experience that the art of the short story often leaves you wanting to and seems to be waning. With these stories I’m thrilled to see the resurgence of wonderfully written shorts. It’s such a privilege to see these treasures sent out to the world of readers.

Great listen!

This was a great listen with a wide variety of stories, some continued from volume 1 and many linked back to Hannigan’s. The same narrator as the previous book, which is great for continuing the feel of the series. Fun listen and I’m looking forward to the next one!

I enjoyed listening

Like the first volume these stories were just as good and had me even turning the lights on at night, while listening and the words echoing through the house ,really does give you the Willy’s . I really enjoyed each one and the narrator does an excellent job with the characters from each story breathing life into them.

Hit Or Miss

I was excited for this after reading the almost unanimously positive reviews and having enjoyed Volume 1 quite a bit. But only a few of the stories really did it for me. Some of the others (particularly "Help Me Rhonda") were a bit overbearing and sort of overstayed their welcome. For the most part though it was a good time.

Not bad for what it is

The stories were decent there are a few that I would have liked to have been fleshed out more. It did spur me to look up the authors and see their other works.

Little tempting bites of horror.

I love short stories, because you get lots of variety. I also love short stories that are in parts, like some of the ones in this series. It’s like stretching out what would normally be something that would otherwise end too soon. I like the style of this particular series! I highly recommend these books!

Great listen

Each story gives you its own unique burst of horror. Each story easily holds its own against the others making a great montage of story telling. I look forward to the next volume.

Tavern of Terror 2.

This series gets better as it goes on I think. Another 12 brilliant horror stories from Scare Street. As in all compilations of short stories some are better than others but all these are quite good. Countdown and Under the pier for me are outstanding. All helped along by the brilliant narration of Thom Bowers who is perfect for this kind of story. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the publisher and leave this honest review.
