Good first book.

First, Paul Michael is a treasure as narrator. A bevy of voices and accents separate characters easily.

Second, the story is really good for a first book. It’s your basic action adventure US operative is the best but it’s done well and has some good moments. I’m diving right into book 2 tomorrow.

Great lead character and start to a new series

I read every good book from this genre that I can found and this book and its lead character are one of the top of my favorites. I have purchased book 2.

Excellent Story and Charactets

The story deveopment is excellent and the cast of characters, both good and evil, is also well done. In addition, the geopolitical context of the story and emerging threat were both current and within the realm of possibility.

From a listener’s (rather than reader’s) perspective, I thought Paul Michael’s presentation of the characters’ voices was very good but his running narrative was occasionally a little too flat.

Finally, Target Omega ends with some unfinished business. However, I felt that Kirsanow reconciled enough to leave me satisfied while cleverly whetting my appetite more justice.

Ending, more to come

The ending left it open to a follow up book, otherwise I did not like the ending. Too rushed and left some things open.

I liked how clean from swearing it was.

I thought it was pretty good but predictable and a bit boring. I think the reader might have contributed the monotony.

Great espionage thriller from a new author!

It seems that protagonist Mike Garin is likely to join characters like Mitch Rapp, Jack Ryan, Court Gentry, Scot Harvath, Pike Logan, etc. as great lead characters in espionage thriller series. Based on TARGET OMEGA author Peter Kirsanow has written as strong a first novel in his Mike Garin series as the first novels of Flynn, Clancy, Greaney, Thor, or Taylor. Narration by Paul Michael is outstanding. I have purchased Second Strike which is the second novel in the series and will listen to it next. My thanks to Audible Listener Shelley whose reviews have once again led me to a terrific novel/series.

Great read with amazing and accurate detail

This could well be the start of an action packed series of adventures with the character of Mike Garin. Looking forward to next thriller.
