A great message and a way forward!

I was able to listen to the whole audio book in one day. It made great points and provided Rand's ideas and solutions to make our country prosperous again. I highly recommend this book.

I challenge EVERYONE (whether you're; a Liberal or a Conservative, for or against, him as a Presidential candidate) to listen-to/read "Taking A Stand: Moving Beyond Partisan Politics to Unite America" by Dr. Rand Paul M.D., because it will blow your mind how much sense it all makes. And this will ring true for anyone with common sense, good will toward humanity, basic Americana ideals and/or any hope for our future.

***NOTE*** Try to, if at all possible; to objectively review/analyze the points made, while limiting your preconceived notions about Rand Paul, or his father Ron. Likely based on fear-mongering propaganda you've "heard" from; D.C. Establishment Politicians (who are either; scared of losing their 'Good Ole Boys' unrestricted & unchecked reign of absolute power, or are 110% compromised & controlled), and/or their MSM mouthpieces (I.e., CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC, etc..). Where does Taking a Stand rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the clearest vision for America put forth by any politician I my lifetime.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The most compelling aspect of this book is the consistent common sense approach toward running our country according to the Constitution. Equally compelling is the fact that following the Constitution will benefit both the poor and the rich, the majority and the minority, the citizen and those who want to be citizens.

What about Brian Troxell’s performance did you like?

Brian Troxell did an outstanding job. He read with passionate and conviction. I almost forgot that I wasn't listening to Senator Paul.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book periodically over a period about a week.

Any additional comments?

Anyone with an open mind and an interest inthe future of our country, should not hesitate to give this book opportunity to show you what Senator Paul really thinks, and not what the pundits, or party bosses tell you he thinks.

Wow, Rand Paul leaves no stone unturned, fearless

What's the biggest problem with candidates or politicians today, ok that's a loaded question but I can pick one thing, fear. They fear truth and fear crossing the line with their party. Not Rand Paul. He will not disappoint in this book. He is open and lays out his ideas and philosophy.
Rand stands up to the establishment and tells you the new party he sees and projects to be coming alive today in the U.S.

Highly recommend for voter ages and anyone not looking for status quo

Very well reasoned arguments for why we need to end the era of big government and return to principles of economic and personal freedoms. I hope he is our next president!!

Take This Hillary!

I am a South African and live in South Africa.
I read earlier this year Hard Choices by Hillary Clinton.
What a contrast. Hillary is a politician who talks in vague and general terms whilst Rand Paul focuses on the details.
He digs up and gets to the root of the problem, which enables him to develop new strategies; Hillary Clinton offers nothing like that: she is bound to keep the status quo, she is superficial.
Rand Paul hits hard with the truth: he shows his eye surgeon's skills. Hillary finds difficult to tell the truth (e.g. Benghazi and personal email server).
Hillary Clinton is a Waffler. Rand Paul is an Action Man.
If I was American, I would not hesitate a second to support Rand Paul as a presidential candidate.
He has the make-up to be and will be a Great president.

Wonderful inspiration and insight into politics

I love this book! It was a great read to show that both sides of the isle can work together, if they choose to. Also, it shows what will happen if they don't start doing it more often. Kudos to you Senator Paul, and all of this coming from a registered Democrat

It takes you briefly through his life, then straight to the talking points! Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Rand other than what you have read online!

Detailed, Truthful. Compelling.

What did you like best about this story?

The details of policies that need to be changed.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not running to war at every turn and how US intervention in matters that are none of our business have come back to bit us.

Giving tax money back to poor communities so they can prosper.

Any additional comments?

Rand Paul is the closest to the constitution. He's not a member of the "establishment" and it's clear. The books highlights it. His beliefs and philosophy are really just common sense.

Substance - not hype, not hyperbole. Will make you think!

Every day our society seems more and more divided. It seems that every election, every law, every SCOTUS ruling results in more and more polarization. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Dr. Paul had poured his thoughts, his passion and compassion into digging deep into what divides us and what ultimately can bring us together. He talks honestly about the real causes of our divisions both from GOP and Democratic leadership. He offers real solutions that are thought provoking and amazingly full of common sense.

Both GOP and Democrat establishments in Washington will undoubtedly attack these ideas because they take away from their power and give power back to the people. But, if you are like me, a person utterly sick of the politics and dogma of division that permeates our society -- then I highly recommend reading or listening to this book. I guarantee that no matter what side of the aisle you favor, you will learn something new and challenge some things you believe.

A great book and a superb job of reading and production.
