"Welcome to the Pelaran Alliance...."

With those simple words, the Guardian spacecraft openly revealed itself to humanity, heralding a new chapter in its 500-year-long mission to cultivate our world. Earth's population must now make its first planet-wide decision - join the most powerful alliance in our galaxy or chart our own course, deciding for ourselves which civilizations are worthy of our trust. Will we be the first world to decline the Pelarans' invitation, or does their offer come with an implied threat?

Aboard Terran Fleet Command's flagship, TFS Navajo, Admiral Kevin Patterson assembles his formidable but untested forces in hopes of defending the Earth. Knowing that an attack is imminent, he must risk everything in hopes of finding his enemy and taking the initiative.

Returning from TFC's first battle, Captain Tom Prescott learns that his frigate, TFS Ingenuity, is more heavily damaged than expected. Now he must race against time to prepare a new ship, then execute a daring mission to save Earth's last and best hope of avoiding full-scale interstellar war.

Outstanding military scify series in the vain of Lost Fleet. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys military oriented science fiction. Will start the third installment right away!

TFS Fleet Series

A generally good story but slow at times with little development of the plot. Instead there are abrupt movements with little understanding of a more realistic time sense. The overall effect is to have a chaotic plot with things developing so fast it is unrealistic.

Interesting but abrupt endings

Would you listen to TFS Theseus again? Why?

No, I routinely do not re-listen to books, as they don't hold up for me, that said, I would place it in the list with my Honor Harrington books, which get dragged out every 5 years or so..

What was one of the most memorable moments of TFS Theseus?

The descriptions of the the ship arrivals and departures and the methods used are really interesting and well written to hold your attention. The battle scenes are vivid and well laid out, thoughtful, and the author uses his science to support the methods.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

As I said in the Ingenuity review, Mr Kafer sounds just like the narrator from the Frontier saga, if you liked them, you will definitely like him. He is very well enunciated, clear and has enough range that you never get confused on which character is speaking. The true test of an audio book is when you can listen to it and not have to try to decide who it is that is speaking. He passes the test very well.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Enjoyable and satisfaction at a well written science fiction space navy book. Hard to do with out making up a whole bunch of unique physics, and Mr. Harris has done a good job of using current "stories" "The Greys", and a plausible connection to the future, to make his tech believable and real.

Any additional comments?

Great series, fun to listen too, good characters and well read. A most satisfactory audio book experience!

Great MIl Sci Fi series

This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite sci-fi series. Closest style comparison I have is Troy Rising by John Ringo and David Webers Safehold or Honor Harrington series. If you like those series I feel confident you will like the tfc saga. While shorter than I would like and a quick listen it scratches the itch for more.

Great naval sci-fi series

I really enjoy this series, but it follows the trend of writing fairly short books to get you to buy many. The first two books in the series could have easily been one. When you finish books like this and think back to what actually progressed in the plot, the answer is not much. With that said I hate to admit it but the formula because it's got me coming back for more!

Great series, but short.

I enjoyed this book very much. Well written and performed. Don't want to say anything about the story itself because I do not want to spoil anything for the readers. Give it a try and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Excellent second book.

I thoroughly enjoyed TFS Theseus! I’m so impressed with author Tori Harris’ writing style! Harris’ mastery of dialogue makes the characters come alive! And the story is phenomenal! To be sure, we can’t forget to salute narrator Jeffery Kafer who does a magnificent job himself helping Harris’ characters come to life! Outstanding!

Excellent Sequel to Book One!

This was an entertaining read. A bit on the short side at 7 hours, but the real problem for me was the $7.49 price, and that's WITH Kindle Unlimited. Even for reasonably decent SciFi, even if rather fantastical and unrealistic SciFi, $7.49 strikes me as a bit high, and I don't intend to continue through the series since they're all priced that way. There are too many and much more worthwhile books available for the $9.50 credits.

Not bad - but not worth the money

Very good detailed work. The books feel familiar to our world and show a world coming to the brink of military capability in space. It is not the epic science fiction of the far future but of the more near future as Earth dips it's goes into space and battle.

Wonderful. These are slow but grow on you.

Any additional comments?

Lots of technical detail, my mind starts to wander because of this sometimes. Still a good book, really the major downside I see is it seems like weird stopping points at the end of the first book and this one.

Good Saga but seems like strange endings.
