Publisher's summary

Two years ago, I was a pretty big deal. I thought I had it all, until a blast from my past popped up on my social media feed, keeping my ego in check and reminding me how basic I am. Except sassy Wren Bennett isn't just a blast from my past. She's the only woman I ever saw a future with.

Even though my soul leaves my body every time she says she hates baseball and has never watched me play, a year's worth of messages filled with laughter and sarcasm only remind me how amazing my "pen pal" is. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how fine I look in a pair of baseball pants; I'm still 3,000 miles away, and she's taken...or so I thought. Maybe I should have thought a little harder before I dropped her like a seeing-eye single into the outfield.

When an injury has me questioning everything about my life, I can only think of one place I need to go and one person I need to see. Home, to Summersweet Island, to get back my "pen pal".

Now I just need to make sure single mom Wren knows I didn't come back for a change, and I didn't come back for a job. I'm swinging for the fences, and I'm finally coming home to make her mine. If only she'd stop insulting me and stay in one place long enough for me to tell her. She wouldn't try to drown me with a tub of ice cream, right?

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Book two was even better than the first

This was a very engaging story and I liked it a lot - it was great to get a different perspective on the primary characters from book 1. Especially loved the sassy matriarch element that was added this time around. A little bit of drama, but manageable... nothing crazy over the top. Super likeable characters and a really enjoyable listen

I was kind of hoping the cheerleader character would be the lead in the next story, since Tess is seemingly already pretty established in her relationship - but we'll see how it goes; I'm in! either way.

❤️ Sweet, silly & sexy!! ❤️

I loved this audiobook like I love Unicorns, Glitter and Lisa Frank stickers!! This was my 2nd read and 1st listen of Swing and a Mishap and I love it more with every read! This book is full of Tara Sivec’s signature humor, charm and steamy scenes! I liked Wren and Shepherd when they were introduced in Kiss My Putt and their characters get even better!!

I highly recommend this hilarious friends/enemies to lovers romance!! Though it can be read as a standalone, I suggest you start with Kiss My Putt so you get to know the quirky, funny, lovable residents of Summersweet Island from the beginning.

Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige give fantastic performances bringing Swing and a Mishap to life! This duo brings the perfect combo of sweet & snark!

great story

This was a good story. Shephard stepped in and did what a lot of men won't do, care for someone else's child. Wren was a hard-working woman that did what she could to raise & teach her son. The author did a great job of creating each character as independent people that worked together to build a new life.

Tara Sivec is a boss!

I loved the first book in this series, but the second is even better! Wren and Shepherd are adorable and so funny. The chemistry between them is off the charts. The flirting and dirty talk had me sitting at my desk red as a beet. The banter between them and all the friends is epic. I don’t just read/listen to Tara’s series for the individual love matches; I read them for the priceless friendship amongst the quirky and hilarious characters and their family members.

I rarely read the synopsis of a book when I see that Kelsey Navarro or Tim Paige are narrating it. And this one had BOTH of them! Shut up and take my debit card! Kelsey and Tim perfectly embody each character, giving them distinct tones and bringing out their personalities. The narration flowed effortlessly. For me, listening to the audiobook is so much better than reading it because these narrators really brought the story to life.

I scream.  You scream.  We all scream…. Cus Tess has a freaking blow torch and is headed right for us.

Fun and enjoyable

I may or may not have been caught laughing out loud while my kids did their virtual school thing...and I loved every minute!

The best !

I love how this book ties into the previous book. I can’t wait for the next one. The details are so real. I can’t turn it off when listening.
