Publisher's Summary

I knew how old she was. I just didn’t care.

Ryker

Aria Amherst lied about her age the first night we met. But when I kissed her...I knew exactly how old she was. And once I kissed her...I needed more.

I wanted all of her. I wanted everything she wasn’t really offering. Until I found out that her father was making a deal with my business partner.

Then I wanted her more.

Aria

Ryker North blew into my life like a wall of hot, tattooed muscle. And did I mention he’s a drummer? And a businessman? And 35 years old?

And my father is going to kill me when he finds out I’m dating his new client. It’s...complicated.

But take my word on this. He’s worth every risk I’m taking.

Sweet Thing is a full-length stand-alone older-man-very-young-woman sexy romance filled with forbidden lust, too many "first times" to count, inappropriate touching in public, and an angsty, but perfect, HEA.

Includes a special note from the author.

May/December 😊

Funny that I enjoyed this book today. As tomorrow is my 25th wedding anniversary of my perfect 32 years of my May/December life. I was 20 & he was 42. Now I’m 52 & my husband is 74. It can work and it’s not anything like your imaging. It’s perfect, has always been perfect & I would do it all again exactly the same. When souls are meant to be, it will all work it as long as you stay true to your heart.
As always Juile, you mange to bring my emotions to the brink. Always an auto purchase.

Yikes...

(A little bit of Spoilers)
...
..
.
I don't have anything against age difference in relationships but um... yikes 😬... when he kept mentioning how he liked em young... i just kept thinking in my head, PEDOPHILIA!! & then how he just kept thinking and making it a mission to have sex with her, even when she wasn't 18 yet. uhhhh... yeah... that did bother me throughout the entire book, and other things too.

Besides that, I liked Christian Fox's narration but not so much of Emma Wilder. I thought her narration was okay. So yeah overall 3 stars bc I thought this book was meh but wasn't a DNF.

Hmmmm... torn

**** Spoilers ahead****

So... I’m torn with this one....

I’m very open minded when it comes to age differences, romantic in however someone sees fit, healthy sex lives, no matter how many people and sexual proclivities they may have....

But one detail that creeps up when you get “comfortable” with the romance and sexy parts of this plot....

This book would be SO much better if the lead female’s encounter was, at minimum, 3 months later in the scheme of life... either way, references of love and “the rest of my life” phrases from her...when she’s 18... and HASNT GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL YET...

The innocent virgin with hot experienced older man trope can be hot... but not when she’s talking about going to prom! ☠️ it makes me feel a bit creepy to be turned on by every other detail of the story!

That one damn detail randomly pops up after it hasn’t been mentioned in a while... and right after something super sexy or romantic... it’s a jarring reminder and has me literally saying “wtf” or wincing bc it’s like a metaphorical bucket of ice thrown on you after getting out of a sauna. Uncomfortable to say the least.

Sweet Thing

I truly enjoyed this book! This was a really great read just like “Pretty Thing”. I’ve recently learned that I enjoy J A Huss books very much!! I’ve yet to be let down by one and this is my 4th or 5th!

I love J.A Huss books

You never know what to expect when you hit play on a Julie book. I always love hitting play on a new J.A. Huss book. The narration was great to. Thanks for the book again 😊

Female voice is sooo annoying!!!!

The story is good if you don’t mind that he falls for a child. I tried to look beyond but it’s hard. Why couldn’t she be 23 to his 38? Anyway, that aside the female voice just is so hard to listen to, when she isn’t trying for the affect it’s more normal but when she tries sarcasm or self deprecation—-just no. Stop it. Hard pass. I will have to read the book and see if I like it better.

NICE!

Great story for a younger reader then me! I’m pushing 60, so the whole “younger girl” storyline is depressing and a little creepy. BUT it was very well written. And I highly recommend 😁

Emma and Christian's voices are hot hot hot

I could listen to them speak about the phone book. Both of them were so good. As far as the story, the only part I didn't care for was that she did sounded like a brat more than a sweet thing in the beginning, I was annoyed with her because even for an 18yr who let someone do what they did then act like a kid. Other than that I liked it, The flow was good, no dead spots of getting bored with the story. I would like to see their story continue "sweet thing 2", maybe add in a 3rd party to their "firsts". Anyways, many ideas of what could be done now that they are just getting started in a relationship.

Um, yes please!

I am new to the “older man younger girl” trope, and this was done really well! The steamy scenes were absolutely incredible and so sweet. I loved the length of the book and felt she describes the characters well. I just cannot say enough good! Love love love! Narration was perfection as well!

was unsure at first

this is an age gap story and I really struggled with it in the beginning and wasn't sure at first about Ryker, in fact I didn't like him much and my reaction was similar to that of Aria's dad's initial reaction(not that he had any room to talk) and I was pretty much thinking Ryker was a dirty perv! however I'm glad I stuck with the book as ja huss has a way of bringing the story together in a way that makes you question things and maybe not be quite so judgmental. by the end of the book I had respect for Ryker and his devotion to Aria. I'm so glad I listened to this book as I think if I'd have been reading it myself it wouldn't have had the same impact as the narrators where excellent and really gave the story life.

I loved it!

Sweet Thing (Naughty Things #2) is wonderfully sexy and exciting. Ryker is the hot older man who likes his women young. Aria is a sweet and innocent, eager to learn dirty girl in the making in this lighthearted and fun read. I absolutely recommend it!

I'm bored.

Somehow the female narrators voice doesn't mesh well with the expected voice of an 17/18 year old, so it's not believable but instead very 'eye-roll' annoying. With every word and thought Aria has I absolutely cringe.

Sweet and sassy

I do love a strong sassy leading lady. This book has really likeable characters and a good storyline. With humour written throughout it’s a refreshing book. Great performance.
