Publisher's Summary

Discover the magic of New York Times best seller Melissa Foster's writing and see why millions of fans have fallen in love with the fiercely loyal and sassily sexy characters in the Love in Bloom big-family romance families. All Love in Bloom books can be enjoyed as stand-alone novels or as part of the larger series.

For this sweet bookstore owner, avoiding the charms of a famed football player-turned-author was supposed to be easy.... Funny, sinfully sexy, opposite-attracts romance.

Amber Montgomery is perfectly happy with her quiet life, running her bookstore, taking long walks with Reno, her Labrador retriever seizure-response dog, and spending time with her close-knit family. She’s never needed thrills the way some of her sisters have. In an effort to control her epilepsy, she tries to avoid anything that creates too much excitement or stress - including relationships.

When Amber hosts a book signing for famed athlete-turned-author Dash Pennington, he’s everything she’s spent her life avoiding: loud, aggressive, and far too handsome, as proven by the hordes of women who surround him everywhere he goes. Amber can’t ignore the sparks flying between her and Dash, but this is a no-brainer for her: Ignore their chemistry and hold her breath until he leaves town.

Dash Pennington has spent his life running. Running the ball in for a touchdown, running from town to town to appease his public relations reps, and running into the arms of too many women to count. He’s also an expert at protecting - his reputation, his sisters, and lately, his sanity. But he’s ready to make a change. When he comes to the sleepy little town of Oak Falls, Virginia, and witnesses the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, living the life he craves, she refuses to have anything to do with him. But now that Dash has found the one thing he doesn’t want to run from, he’ll stop at nothing to win her over.

Sweet and Sexy!

Melissa has magic in her pen, like acorns in a jar when writing a story.
Dash was a retired football star. He went to Oak Falls, Virginia to visit a buddy to get away from it all. Amber was the owner of a book store and seemed the only woman that wasn't trying to get his attention. He had contracted to have a signing in her book store to sign his book he had written. Dash was so sweet and thoughtful to Amber, expecially when she had seizures caused by her epilepsy.
Meg Sylvan and Tim Page did a fantastic job narrating it. They made me think I was standing by each character watching this beautiful story unfold.

Not impressed.

I did struggle to finish this book, after the accolades from the details page it was truly boring. The narrators were okay, too good for the content they had to work with. Not worth the money or credit.

This was my first Melissa Foster book. I'll avoid this author from now on.

Just like the title says - sweet and sexy!

Melissa Foster is a master at creating families that you want to know all about, love stories with lots of heart and low angst, and a world that you want to visit. Luckily you get to do just that with each of her books - you get to visit a world with people that are caring, compassionate and kind, and you want them to find their happily-ever-after.

Amber Montgomery is our latest in the Oak Falls series. Amber lives a quiet existence in her small town, but she can't help but get all tied up when she meets ex-football player Dash Pennington. Dash lives his life just as his name implies - constantly on the go. A large part of Amber's life is revolves around her seizure disorder, and when she sees her disorder getting in the way of Dash's existence, she can't help but feel like burden. But Dash was all-in right away with Amber, and he's determined to prove to her that she can never be anything but the love of his life.

Lots of love, lots of support, and lots of steam - exactly what you expect from Melissa Foster.

Narration by Tim Page and Meg Sylvan was simply the perfect complement to this story. They really brought the emotions and the connection between Dash and Amber to life. I loved it.

4.25 My Sweet Wild Thing Stars!!

I've been wanting to pick up more of Ms.Foster's work this year. As soon as this audiobook was announced I knew i had to listen to it next! Being new to this world had me even more excited to get into it! Right from the start this audiobook pulled me in and I didn't want to stop listening! I really enjoyed it!

I've listened to Meg Sylvan before but this was my first time listening to Tim Paige and both of their narration was so great! I couldn't get enough of them as Amber and Dash! They truly captured these two characters and the emotions with their voices which I loved! Oh how these characters and their connection touched my heart! I was blushing and grinning so many times throughout.

I so enjoyed getting to dig deeper with both characters and how I connected with them! I was so glad that I finally got into the The Bradens & Montgomerys (Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls) Series! I can't wait to go back and listen to the other audiobooks in this series!

With Sweet, Sexy Heart, Ms.Foster has created such a wonderful story filled with heart and heat! It's always such a joy to get into one of her stories and I can't wait to pick up more this year! I am so excited to listen to more of Meg and Tim in the near future as well! These two and their narration are not to be missed! (:

Contemporary Romance

Sweet, Sexy Heart by Melissa Foster is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Meg Sylvan and Tim Paige.

This is the eighth book in The Braden's and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Melissa’s books! They always leave you with a smile. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Dash and Amber. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Meg and Tim did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can't wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I'm blown away by Sweet, Sexy Heart. I love Dash and Amber. Dash is sweet, protective and the type of guy any girl would want. Amber is cautious, to the point of it holding her back from enjoying her life. But she's happy and loves her small town life. I related to Amber, rooted for her to exit her comfort zone and felt for Dash. This book had me laughing, smiling and in tears. I think this may be one of my favorite Melissa Foster books yet.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsessions and Pink Flamingo Productions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Amber and Dash!

Amber is content with her life as she has her bookstore, her dog Reno and is surrounded by great friends and family who are always there for her no matter what. In order not to exacerbate her medical condition she thrives on the peace and tranquility her life offers so she is cautious when she draws the attention of an ex-football player who she believes she has no place for in her life.

Dash has transitioned from life as professional football player to one as a writer, but the notoriety still follows him. He is enchanted by Amber from their first meeting, but he soon realizes that she is different from any woman he has met before and convincing her they belong together will be a challenge that he is determined to win.

Amber believes that he is too good to be true and that with enough time he will grow weary of the way she has chosen to live her life while Dash is everything you could want and more as he shows her with everything he says or does that he loves her just the way she is. The narrators managed to portray both the emotions of the characters and their beautiful romance to perfection. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Dash and Amber

Sweet, Sexy Heart is exactly what it says. Melissa Foster has crafted another amazing Braden-Montgomery couple! Dash is an retired football star, now getting ready to promote his new book. Amber is a bookstore owner in his hometown. When these two opposites meet, sparks fly! But there are complications to their budding relationship. Amber has health issues which keep her life consistent and mundane. Dash is worldly and wants to show her everything. Will these two find a compromise? Will Amber's health stop her from living the life she wants? Will Dash leave her behind for someone who will not hold him back? Sweet, loving and swoony, Dash is the ultimate book boyfriend. Attentive, patient and passionate, I love everything about him. Amber is cautious and I love that about her. I do love her new look at the adventurous side of her,and the way she does evolve. Seeing some of our favorites pop in too is always a plus for me. Makes the community feel so real, like we are actually a part of it! I also enjoy how Foster includes relevant issues in her stories. This one is woven into the fabric of the story through Amber, and it is eye opening. It's obvious the depth of knowledge Foster has gained and shared with us unknowingly as we read the story. It's a fun, sweet listen and would highly recommend it!

Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan are our story tellers for this one and they bring it all to life. Paige plays the swoony Dash with ease. He falls into character with a natural feel and lets us enjoy his easy calm and growing love. Sylvan comes in as Amber, with a wealth of emotion and gives it all to us. At times she lets us into the unease of her style of life, and others adds that nonchalance that Amber has after dealing with her illness for so long. It's a great casting and made for a wonderful listen.

Great narration, ultra sweet story

Melissa Foster always writes the most heartwarming, sweet and romantic stories and this one is no different. Amber is a bookstore owner who has epilepsy. Dash is a ex-football star who is also a motivational speaker who has written a book that will be featured in Amber's store. Sparks fly immediately and this is pretty much a love at first sight book, which is kind of par for the course for this author's books. There are a lot of visits from prior characters in the author's worlds, which is great because she is a very character-driven author and since I've read so many of her books, many were recognizable and well loved by me. Also, the supporting cast of the mothers and grandmothers added humor and heart to the story.

That said, this book was a little slow and a bit too sweet for maybe half the book. I mean, Amber and Dash's romance was wonderful but the constant dialogue and loving words about each other started to feel a little repetitive, perhaps. Overall though, I really appreciated the interesting focus on epilepsy and the insight into how that affects the life of the sufferer and the people around her/him. The last 15% of the book had me tearing up at multiple points and I really loved the ending and the hinting about the next book to come. I read the ebook first and then listened to the audiobook and i loved the narration. It was beautifully done with the wonderful Meg Sylvan and Tim Paige. Both were perfectly cast and I really thought their narration elevated the story even more!
