i loved listening to this book and cant wait to hear the next one in the series

Bit too PG 13 for me

Well written good dialog but dont understand how characters can deal with supernatural creatures who murder and yet dont even utter one swear word. Too sanitized for me .

Fun with an amazing Narrator

I am almost done with the series and I absolutely LOVED every single book! The narrator for audiobooks is a perfect fit for these book and absolutely amazing voice!

Awesome story!!

As always, John Corwin writes a captivating tale that keeps an audience thirsting for more.
Highly recommended!!

I Couldn't Stop Listening

A magical teen fantasy read in a deep voice, literally everything I wanted. I somehow managed to finish this 17 hour book in 3 days.

good story, weak mc

only complaint I had was with the mc being so judgmental of other people after he blatantly describes himself as a fat nerd. I would have felt bad for the mc but he did hardly did anything to test let alone improve his physical or supernatural powers thus putting himself in the bad situation. lastly, enough with the crying.

So much wrong I know not where to start

The MC is a perfect example of how to NOT make a character if you want your readers to believe the MC’s normal life, their actions and reactions are plausible. The MC is a total embarrassment and a horrific portrayal of the average 18yr old American, male, and nerd. The parents actions of disappearing without explanation for weeks at a time. Never contacting their children. Thinking to keep him safe by hiding secrets from their kid that will get him killed quicker by not knowing who he is and the family history. As well as not knowing anything about his life, friends, or lack of and his life away from their home, clueless so to speak, and not providing the necessary requirements in teaching their kid to become self sufficient and in the least, preparing him to physically defend himself from those that seek him harm or male him a victim. It’s rather pathetic writing by this writer!
I WASTED $$$ BY PURCHASING THIS BOOK!!! Borrow this book from someone else if you mist read it. Corwin and his publisher should be charged with THEFT for allowing this garbage to be sold for any monetary amount whatsoever!

tough start

While I enjoyed the book overall it was kinda tough to get into at first. After getting into it I realized that the first part helped to understand Justin and how things came and hopefully coming about.

Good start

Justins growth was good. But even some supernatural stuff is knowledge. The girl would be the same with more knowledge because who she is. . . Overall though it's a good start.
