Unemployment survival guide

I shared this book with my mother and she explained how she wishes she had a book like this while going through a tough layoff. Books and audiobooks like Surviving a Layoff are so important and a crucial piece while getting things back on track after being let go. We’ve all dealt with stressful situations and wish we had an answer in that moment, this is an excellent read for anyone negatively effected by the pandemic as well. Great narration, highly recommend

Unfortunately, In today’s economy, layoffs are inevitable. This is a great resource to survive a layoff and good knowledge to move forward financially.

The exact book I was looking for

Everyone goes through a layoff at some point, and this is the perfect book to get you through it. The author speaks from experience and covers everything from the emotional response to your outlook on new jobs. It even covers unemployment opportunities—overall a joy to listen to.

Very helpful audiobook

Handy guide how to get back on track after layoff. The most I liked chapters how to manage your life and your money while transitioning through jobs and how to to avoid debt traps.

Accepting the situation

This book is full of helpful tips for anyone who has been laid off or wants to prepare for one in the future. There's some great advice on how to save money and avoid debt traps, as well as how to feel more optimistic about the future. I enjoy chapter 5 about uncovering untapped resources because of how he advised us to collect unemployment benefits, find an untapped source of income beneath our roof, and strive to control our pride and worry about asking for aid.

Wish I had this sooner!

This would’ve been an excellent book to have a year ago. My company laid everyone off due to the virus. I was very new to that situation as I had never been laid off before so I look like this would have been extremely helpful. Had some good planning suggestions for the future as well as mindset for exactly what the title says surviving a Layoff.

Such helpful information! This book helped my dear sister on her lay off. It is emotionally draining thinking about what you are going to do for your future. The fear will overwhelm you every day. This book will help you to cope with those emotions and even change your mindset. It also teaches you how to manage your money and all the tips, tricks, and opportunities you need to find and take action. I highly recommend this book!

Great Timing

This book could not have come at a better time. With what has happened in the world lately we are all at the risk of losing our jobs. This book has been a very helpul guide to get through that and to learn you are a worthly employee. It has great tips on how to find your own worth again and maybe refind your passion. Great listen!!

Just what I needed

I was layed off because of Covid and this book helped me get through these tough times and back on my feet. It also helped my manage my debt and set me up for success!
