Publisher's Summary

When Samantha Harrigan attends the local rodeo, she doesn't expect to wind up in jail. But that's precisely what happens when she tries to stop a drunkard from abusing his horse. At least she isn't alone. Tucker Coulter, a handsome local veterinarian, comes to her defense - and is arrested too.

The charges are dropped, but Sam's troubles have only started. Her champion quarter horses are falling ill and the culprit is poison. As the insurance beneficiary, Sam is the prime suspect. Unswayed by the rumors floating around town, Tucker offers to help prove her innocence. Sam, though, is uneasy about accepting his assistance - and about the way he makes her feel. If only she could believe in him the way he seems to believe in her....

Catherine Anderson need I say more

Mrs. Anderson, in my opinion, is a phenomenal author. Tucker and Sammie are perfect for each other. She owns a ranch and he is a large animal vet. They both love horses. Then as Mrs. Anderson is great at there is a mystery that needs solved. I have several favorite narrators and Suzanne Toren is one of them. She has one of those voices that you either love or hate. In my opinion she changes voices/tones enough that you can distinguish the difference between characters. Even when there is several characters in a scene. I’ve listened to this particular series several times. I will continue to listen to the series. Now listen/read the next in the series to find out about Clint. 😁

Romance, intrigue and horses...who could ask for more?

The story was good and the mystery interesting though predictable. I enjoy having characters previously met being reintroduced in the story line.

Sun Kissed Book 7 by Catherine Anderson.

I have one problem with the Performance, the men's voices were hard to tell who is who is speaking. They most all sounded like very old men. Could you add additional people to do the voices of all the characters? Loved the story and there were many twists and turns that I never did see coming. Excellent Mystery. A very surprise ending. I am now on Book 8 of this series, Morning Light. Thank you Catherine Anderson for not loading the story with very full chapters of descriptive love making. Enough to keep it loving was entertaining. One of your best stories.

Loved it

Loved every second of it. I just couldn't stop listening. Didn't know who dunnit till the very end, although I did suspect who it was for quite a while. Because there was a lot about the horses on the ranch, besides the love story, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The narrator was very good in this book, the main female's voice wasn't like it was in some of the other previous books, like a weak pathetic child. I highly recommend all this series so far. And will definitely listen to it all again up till this 7th book. As for thr rest of them im not sure whether I'll continue them as the reviews say that they're quite religious. In my opinion it can't be a very exciting love story if it's religious.
