When Humphrey hears that school is ending, he can't believe his ears. What's a classroom hamster to do if there's no more school?
It turns out that Mrs. Brisbane has planned something thrilling for Humphrey and Og the frog: they're going to Camp Happy Hollow with Ms. Mac and lots of the kids from Room 26! Camp is full of FUN-FUN-FUN new experiences, but it's also a little scary. There are fur-raising wild sounds and smells, and there's something called the Howler to watch out for.
Humphrey is always curious about new adventures, but could camp be too wild even for him?
Look for all twelve of Humphrey's adventures!©2010 Betty G. Birney; (P)2010 Penguin Audiobooks

“Humphrey is a witty, fun, and lovable character with great kid appeal.” —School Library Journal on Surprises According to Humphrey
“This thoughtful yet upbeat tale lends credence to the notion that actions and intentions can be misinterpreted while pointing out the benefits of looking at a situation from another’s point of view. Readers will find that seeing the world from Humphrey’s standpoint is mighty satisfying.” —Kirkus Reviews on Friendship According to Humphrey
“Narrated in Humphrey’s lively voice, the story is characteristically amusing and incorporates kid-relevant issues, such as being the last chosen for sports teams and the importance of respect, support, kindness, and appreciation. Would you listen to Summer According to Humphrey again? Why?
My kids LOVE these stories and we got hooked on them, listening through the whole collection. This narrator is much more difficult to listen to and the racial stereotypes he uses for the voices are painful.Great Story, Narration not good
