Publisher's Summary

Ginny’s 30th birthday is shaping up to be the worst ever, until her best friend Ryan takes her to the Way Down Under, a new sex club she’s been dying to visit. Too bad Ryan refuses to let her see anything but the club’s tasteful bar.

Sneaking off to explore, Ginny is busted by Ryan in the Voyeur Room. But instead of taking her home, Ryan intends to teach her a lesson - and immediately commands her to strip.

Stunned, Ginny obeys and embarks on a night unlike any other. From shattering orgasms in front of strangers to light bondage, Ginny endures hours of sexual ecstasy, made to succumb again and again to her wildest urges - all by her best friend.

After hiding from Ryan the rest of the weekend - resulting in delicious punishment in his office on Monday - Ginny discovers emotions in their lifelong friendship that may have been there all along. She doesn’t know if she can convince Ryan of the same…but a bit of "sweet" bondage might help.

Short & Sweet with just the right amount of Spice!

Ginny is turning 30 and she just got dumped by her jerk boyfriend. In steps Travers, her best friend since childhood. He agrees to take her out for some birthday fun at an exclusive sex club "Way Down Under" that she's been dying to go to. Once they arrive at the club, Ginny spots the jerk boyfriend all over some blonde bimbo. To help her feel better, Travers says all the right things and then takes her back to his private room for some fun. This book was delicious!! It was spicy, and the build up was great too. The bondage was light and both characters were equally sexy & wild with their want for each other. It's sweet how two best friends can become the best of lovers; what makes it spicy is the bdsm action they engage in and the fact that that's how the two main characters started to see each other differently. This is an awesome childhood long time friends-to-lovers story with flashbacks of their history. The characters are well-developed; the smex is super HOT!! This book is perfect for a mindless feel good smutty listen. Overall, this was a very short book but I really enjoyed it.

Extremely Cute!

This was an extremely cute story.. Two best friends who really are in love with each other, but don't realize it. It wasn't until the heroine boyfriend cheats on her, that her overprotective best friend step up and sex her down at a BDSM club that he is a member of. After a great night, she hides from him all weekend. He don't like this, so he punish her at work... (O yea, that work together..) That is pretty much the jist of the story... But the smex was awesome, and the hero was a laid back kind of dom...which was refreshing to listen to.

Narration was ok.. I have listen to better...

Worth the listen, Yes... a good Credit or sale, if you are waiting on something else... and just need that BDSM kinda listen...

2.5 stars

Having read and loved this author before, I had higher hopes for this quick read. Part of it was lost on me due to the third person narration, but it was also in part due to the story. I found I just wasn't that into it, which is a shame because the premise is one that sounded amazing.

my first but not my last

Would you consider the audio edition of Sugar and Spice to be better than the print version?

Sometimes it feels that the audio version has been re-edited and the tones of the performer doesn't quite match throughout the book

What did you like best about this story?

The emotion and the conflict of the characters are well performed.
Almost feels like a listening to the people in the booth behind you. You the people talking arguing and you pretend that your not listening but you so are....

Did Aisling Conaway do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

The narrator performer of the audio dialogue was great all the way through. You can tell which characters are talking just from the change of tone. But for the monologue inbetween dialogue very same tone, and sometimes the story could be missed, if your not paying attention.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At some points I found myself laughing, specially the flash back stories.
