This book you want to read you will smile and cry. Great story and wonderful leading actors

this book is really good you can read it over and over again and it's still good the dynamic between Samantha and Alex makes you believe the true love can really happen

literary junk food, good but not good for you

This book is predictable, cliche and has moments of cheesiness but still entertaining. The only annoying part is how the female lead couldn't imagine why her becoming a royal was newsworthy and repeated over and over and over in the book "but why are they interested in me? I'm just an ordinary girl becoming royal" duuuhhhh i wonder why?

Didn't need the explicit sex

The story was an easy-going fluff. I personally don't find a need for explicit sex passages to make a story interesting or better. It detracts and reduces the book from a story that might be worth reading to just titillation for teen readers.
It takes more talent for a writer to convey passion without resorting to erotic passages. After the first episode about 2/3 the way in and it was like a dam burst. After that, it was one sex scene after the other.
Overkill, in my opinion.

Easy Listen

The story is a cute and happy. It’s a good book to have going on in the background and it reminded me of the movie Princess Diaries.

The Narrator did an amazing job at bringing the story to life and enhancing the story.

Great book.

Very enjoyable reading. The descriptive sex scenes were a little overboard and not recommended for the young reader. The story development was good from just meeting to the wedding. The struggle with the news media was quite interesting.

Fun romance

I rarely care for royalty type stories, but this one looked fun and it was. Sam is a snarky, hard working, intelligent woman working on her graduate program when she is told that her mom came from royalty. She is disbelieving and has to be convinced to go for a visit even after the media makes her life hellish.

The narrator did a lovely job switching accents and including Sam's sarcasm and wit.

Plan to look for another book by Nichole Chase after listening to this book.

Royal Fluff

This was my first book by this author. It was on sale and I thought it might be a light listen. It certainly ticked that box. I prefer books that have much more depth, character development and plot, but I had just finished a very dark/angsty book series and needed something that was just a light/fun listen. This book delivered the easy listen I was looking for. If you are looking for depth in a book, this is not it, but if you're looking for a little fluff between your main reads, you will be entertained. I thought it was a standalone, but found out at the end (when the rate & review screen came up) that there are 2 more books, each giving the story of Alex's siblings.

Kind of a Whiny Character

I liked Samantha for majority of the book. The writing wasn't bad, and there were quite a few parts that I could even relate with the main character. Some of her one liners were witty, and I found her interesting, until the whining started. There are quite a few chapters where the main character was unlikable and intolerable. The prince was adorable and enjoyable throughout, and it wasn't until Samantha actually started taking the advice of those around her to stop dwelling on the negative that the story became pleasant again. It was enjoyable and I'd read a sequel if one was ever written.
