I loved listening to this story as much as I loved reading it. Elizabeth Hunter has such a genius for creating relatable characters and amazing stories.

More please! I laughed, I cried not to mention I even got angry. Not too many stories are able to do that to me. I truly didn't want it to end. Thank you for the getaway!

Heartwarming

The book started out slow, but became more interesting as I got further into it. By the time I finished it, I was glad I hadn't put it down.

Great paranormal book!

It was so interesting and fun that I couldn't stop listening it. I thought it was going to be cheese but not, it was fun but also moving.

Magical Mysteries

I highly recommend this paranormal mystery with a unique perspective and a lot of fun. The “Who done it” aspect may be apparent early on, but the journey is well worth the credit. The real draw is the friendship between the three mature women each with their individual insecurities, their reckoning with midlife and their unexpected abilities. There are LOL moments, snarky retorts and mature humor that the midlife listeners will especially appreciate. There are teaser for coming books, but none that leave you unsatisfied when this story closes. The teasers serve only to makes the listeners eagerly anticipate coming books and adventures. The narrator is new to me and does a great job of bringing these characters to life. If you are lookin for a departure from total reality with a little mystery, midlife sisterhood, snarky repartee, throw in paranormal and character development this book absolutely should top your next listen!

While the story line of this book was predictable, it was still an entertaining listen.

Better than I could have ever imagined

Elizabeth Hunter’s first in the Glimmer Lake series better lthan I could have ever imagined. Ava Lucas brought her A game to her performance. I highly recommend this book/audiobook to fans of cozy mysteries.

Loved this book! Really interesting story line with new and different ideas. (And I read the book, but still listened to the Audio when it came out!) Narrator did a fantastic job, enjoyed her distinct "voices" for the characters! Enjoy this great listen!!!

Great story

I like the “humanness” feel of this book with a side of paranormal. Real issues for “real” women. The characters are likable and relatable. The story was interesting and entertaining. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.

A Great New Series for me!

It's not often that you find a series that combines women over 40, a touch of romance, a touch of the supernatural, a touch of mystery, and great friendships, but this is it! Set in rural Northern California, in the town of Glimmer Lake, we meet Robin, who has a son in college and a daughter in high school and a distant husband, a struggling business. Her two best friends Monica and Val are her mainstays and they get into a scary car accident in the beginning of the book, plunging into Glimmer Lake, nearly drowning. When they emerge, they are all different, in a paranormal sense! There is a bit of mystery as to who saved them and what in the world is going on in the town of Glimmer Lake?! I loved this audiobook and had fun listening to it during my commute time. I especially love that I found a new series -- part 2, here I come!
