This Story Is Seductive

Publisher's Summary

Lily Goodwill, the vamp with a heart of gold, gets a disturbing call on the Suicide Prevention Hotline. A hysterical caller is convinced a werewolf is breaking into his house. Lily dispatches the appropriate services, convinced that "someone is off their meds". If only that were true. Soon enough, Lily is fighting for her life against a hairy beastie. She is supported by her almost-fiancee, the brooding French vampire Sebastian, who adores the ground she walks on, and Aidan, the 5,000-year-old vampire-hunting jinni, who scarfs energy for breakfast and believes he's waited his entire existence for Lily. Her best friends and housemates - vampires, a demon and a hellhound - rally to her side as the odds stack up against her. A conniving vampire queen, a witch bent on seduction and a determined assassin with a contract on Lily's undead life round out a season in the City by the Bay.

Gives new meaning to "Bite me"

Expect the unexpected with this fun series. Lily is a vampire plus, and so are four of her best friends (one is also her love), the mate of one of them is a fire demon and the two of them are loved by a hellhound, and then there is the other of Lilly's loves who is a jinn, and the human who serves as their butler. The bad guys are a nasty werewolf, the Queen of the night who keeps court in NOLA, a vampire assassin, and a vampire witch. This episode is twistier than a mountain road, and just as deadly.
Valerie Gilbert is stellar in performance as each of the "characters", and never loses her chirpiness.

What's not to love about a great vamp story!

Combine a hot male vamp, a sexy genie, and Lili the vamp, and you've got magic, not to mention a love triangle. We've got vampires, witches, werewolves, genies, demons and hellhounds. What more could you ask for? Well, lots of humor and vamp angst. I'm totally enjoying this series. And I love the narrator. She's perfect for the voice, knowing just when to pause and just when to use the right intonation. She's makes the stories even more delightful.

I love this series

I really liked this book, I love the twist that was added. the writing is good and the narration was great. I love that Lily has the quirk with hand sanitizer, it makes her more relatable and funny. I can't wait to find it what's next! I would recommend it to others.
