Publisher's summary

Tamara Barton has lusted after Connor Dunbar ever since she was old enough to know what those stirrings meant whenever he was near. Connor’s refusal to see her as anything but the young girl he’s befriended and protected for years soon drives them apart, but not before she catches an up-close, personal glimpse of him exerting the dominant control she’s heard rumors about.

Connor regrets the harsh words he spoke to Tamara when he caught her spying on him - as much as his lustful response to the look of need reflected on her face. He’s been looking after the neighbor girl since the moment he saw her falling off her first horse at the age of 10, and doesn’t plan on stopping now that she’s a grown woman who thinks she wants their relationship to go in a different direction. He knows his sexual proclivities are not for the young, sweet kid he’s so fond of, and wouldn’t jeopardize their special bond by giving in to her desires.

But Tamara always did have a way of getting what she wanted, and when he sees she is serious about becoming a member of the private lifestyle club he owns with his brother and best friend, Connor discovers he doesn’t want her submitting to anyone but him. When he learns she’s kept things from him that could have impacted her welfare, will he allow his failure to protect her to drive another wedge between them, or finally embrace a life with her at his side as more than just a cherished friend?

This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but reads as a standalone.

Maggie P.

Loved it!! I really liked listening to this audiobook. The relationship between Connor and Tamara was fantastic. It had me laughing so much at their antics between them. Yet it was steamy as hell, especially the description of the sex scenes at “The Barn”
WOW they were HOT!!!

I recommend this book to everyone. Read with great expectation. I can’t wait to start the next book in the series.

learning lessons

I actually liked the way he had to learn his mistakes versus things just blatantly working out.

Immature cowboy dom...needs to grow up.

Hands up if anyone else is tired, thin-skinned, immature doms.

We're supposed to believe these dominants are worthy of the trust and respect they demand from their submissive's yet at every turn they show themselves to be ridiculously immature.

Connor complains that Tamara doesn't communicate, that she treats him unfairly. He however behaves in exactly the same way, pouting when she doesn't toe the line, withdrawing when his feelings are hurt and not talking through his issues. This is someone she is supposed to trust to tie her up? To beat her but not too much? To not push her too far? The ending is unbearable, I won’t spoil it for those enjoying the story but as apologies go Connor has a lot to learn and Tamara needs more self respect. She deserves better, actually, any woman deserves better. The reviewers swooning over this guy are...hard to understand.

This book advertised better than it delivered.

I found this book to be a disappointment. It seem forced and overdone. Please don't let my opinions away you from trying it.
