Liked this!

I must admit I am new to Ethan Stone's work, but he did a great job on this story. John Solo's narration was on point. A definite recommend.

I wanted to like it

This is the third book I’ve listen to from this author and they are just not for me. They are rushed and slow at the same time. The build up is agonizing but the climax is uneventful, every time. This plot of this book was good but lacked a lot of detail which kept me wanting more but I never really got what I wanted, which was disappointing. The sex scenes were nothing to write home about either. They were rushed and I’ve listened to better. Also, it would’ve been nice if it was mentioned that the main character was going to sleep around first. I understand it was part of the overall story but they could’ve bonded over their breakups
Instead of sleeping together. The narrator did not help this book or others that I’ve listen to him narrate. The best way to describe how I feel after is, I feel like I’ve read the cliff notes of a book. Like there is so much more that happened but I’ve only got the major points.

Exhausting with the Sex

I liked the concept of this book, it sounded quite different than other book that are the typical M/M romance. However, and I gasp to say this, there was far too much sex. If I wanted to listen to a smut book, that's what I would have purchased. Can we get a M/M book that actually focuses on a story line?

I found the story disjointed at first. I am glad I stayed with it. what were those whispered irritating asides? what purpose did they serve?

What a waste

This was just.....no. Poorly written and poorly executed. The concept overall could have been awesome. The relationship between the MC’s could’ve been awesome. Everything was right there. But how everything is unfolded was junk. The dialogue between every character was almost comical. If nothing else, better narration could’ve helped. I haven’t heard a lot from John Solo and he’s not my favorite but this performance was negligible. I’d return it if it weren’t for Audible Escape saving the day.

meh

I try to support m/m written by men, but unfortunately this was not very good. I think it was the narration that ruined it. What was with the Batman voice for the love interest?

Entertaining

An entertaining, government's conspiration-based mystery.

It's not bad, but it's not re-reading material for me. The characters aren't very well developed, the romance is rushed and there are too many S/d undertones to my taste.

John Solo did a good job with the narration.

A rollercoaster ride

This was an absolute rollercoaster ride of an adventure! I was completely entranced by the story from the beginning and loved John Solo's narration. The mystery and romance were great and the ending left me with my mouth hanging open.

More than a romance

This was a lot of fun! I loved the characters. The bad guys weren't completely obvious. Luke's internal dialogue was often hilarious. I think I need to add this to my permanent collection.
