Publisher's Summary

The winds of change are blowing, bringing gentrification to Callahan Garrity's funky Atlanta neighborhood. Though it probably won't harm her House Mouse housecleaning service, not everyone welcomes the rebirth. And when the body of a murdered microbrewer is discovered in the aftermath of a furious Halloween gale, suspicion falls on the aging "flower child" shopkeeper whom the victim put out of business.

A former cop, Callahan isn't as quick to condemn a colorful local character as some law officers still on the force. But her investigative zeal is stirring up secrets that are forcing her to reassess old friendships and a one-time love - and is brewing up more lethal trouble than Callahan and her "mice" can safely swallow.

Fun series

I love this series of books. Mary Kay Andrews is an incredible storyteller and Hillary Huber is an amazing narrator. She does a fantastic job at the different character voices. I’m always looking for more by these two.

GREAT COZY MYSTERY

The characters are very interesting is always with Mary Kay Andrews. There are some very humorous parts in the story. I became anxious and nervous towards the end wanting the heroine to live. I squeezed life vest it was very anxious towards the end. I did not think there was any way Callahan could get out of the situation.

Another great addition

Mary Kay Andrews has crafted another great addition in her Callahan Garrity series. I’m not sure how she does it, but she always has original ideas and manages to get them down on paper. Hilary Huber gives an excellent performance as she brings it all to life.

Good

The plot was good and kept you guessing. But there had to be about 20 F- bombs before Chapter 4. However the cursing decreased are that.

Boring, base, vulgar

Not the Mary Kay Andrews to which I am accustomed. Light-hearted humor traded in for base characters,
