Tropical brilliance

Love the series and the characters. The character of Nora is wonderful and different. The only thing would be I would have preferred the wife would have survived to pay the penalty for her part. I understand the reasoning but it made me feel uneasy in a character I love. Will continue the series and love the every single book. I love audiobooks as I love the different accents, especially Nora’s.

Love "The Viking"!

Nora Sommers, who refers to herself as "The Viking", is a great protagonist that leads the listener on twisty mystery that is solved by her uncanny abilities. Kim Bretton gives the story extra "umph" as the narrator and is the cherry on top of this brilliant Caribbean-themed mystery/thriller!

Can’t wait for next one

We love all of Nicholas Harvey’s books. Can’t get enough of AJ Bailey or Nora Sommers. We try to wait patiently for next one to be on Audible, but it’s hard.

Near Perfect. Excellent Characters.

4.5 out of 5 stars

I love reading books close to each other in a series – though with a series like the Nora Sommer series – it’s not as important. Things aren’t super linear and each story has a nice little arc that has a good ending. But I still like learning about a character and then finding more about them in the next book. I finished Deadly Sommer not too long ago and really freaking enjoyed it. It was the first solo book I read from Harvey but not my first book of his.

I think that Harvey really turned it up to eleven in Stolen Sommer. The way that he made it personal but also made it so much more just really took this from a good story set in a beautiful location to an unforgettable one. As always, the characters jump off of the pages and really stand out – and the situations that Harvey throws them in make it even more interesting. As I said above, add in the location and it’s near perfect. Harvey really is starting to arise as one of my favorite authors and I think that a lot of people are still sleeping on these audiobooks. They’re so much fun to listen to… and even though it’s finally “nice” here in Western New York – it’s not as beautiful or nice as the location of these books.

Kim Bretton does a great job in Stolen Sommer. Her performance is exactly what a book like this needs to make it even better.
