Publisher's Summary

I fell in love with Manda Baker eight years ago, and I loved her to the core of her soul. We were supposed to have that elusive happily ever after and spend a lifetime together. But that was all before she was stolen from me. Her best friend, Sarah Erickson, killed her. It wasn't intentional. It was far worse. Everyone claims it was just an accident, but I can see through the lies. Even if it's with my dying breath, I will make her pay for what she did. Fate hates me. It robbed me of my first love and left me to navigate through this world emotionless and numb. Then, one day, spiteful fate gave me a woman to fill my shattered soul and make me feel again. It gave me Emma Jane Erickson. Now I spend my days searching for the answers that will ruin Sarah and my nights falling in love with her sister - the one person who is bound and determined to save her. But what happens when everything you know to be true explodes around you?

Un-put-downable!!!

Would you listen to Stolen Course again? Why?

Without a doubt I would listen to this story again. An absolute roller coaster of emotions.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved everything about this story. Every emotion known to mankind seems to be packed into these pages and the way it's told feels raw and hits you deep. I loved Emma's strength. She was a perfect match for Caleb and the fact that their journey to happiness was bumpy at best, brought even more depth to the story and the characters....everything felt real and honest. I just loved the entire story - start to finish!

What does Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have struggled with audiobooks in the past because I simply love to READ the words for myself but without a doubt this narration duo did a fantastic job and I listened to the entire book without reading a single word and it was not a struggle. They gave these characters life and brought forward every emotion. I literally wanted to stop what I was doing and sit and listen. The equivalent of being glued to the TV

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I think I'm still in shock at my reaction to this book. I laughed and I cried and I loved every minute of it. This book touched me deeply....more deeply than expected.

SUCH A SAD STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING

Any additional comments?

I must say I am happy that I didn't listen to book one because it seems like that one does not end the way I would have enjoyed. Now this story was deep and full of road blocks but they figured it out with a lot of compromise and understanding. This was a heart jerker with some good nukie AND there is a twist....

Kept me on my toes!

Just when I think I know what's going on, Aly throws a big twist. I absolutely have loved this series and can see the potential for it to continue. The performance is spot on and the narrators were the perfect choice.

Great series

This is Caleb's story. He lost his fiancé in a car accident five years earlier. He blames fiancé's best friend Sarah. When Sarah's sister comes to town to take care of her, he falls in love with her. He must learn to let go of his hatred and pain in order to move forward.

Couldn't turn it off! Emotional!!!!

Where does Stolen Course rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the best audiobook I have listened to in a long time. What a great story. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

What did you like best about this story?

Emma and Caleb made a very interesting couple. They both fought for their relationship - it wasn't just one of them fighting. The story line was compelling. I couldn't shut the audiobook off. There were many twists and turns!

Have you listened to any of Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to both Christian Fox and Lucy River's performances before. I really enjoy both of them. Easy listening.

A PAIN FILLED BUT BEAUTIFUL SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE

This book follows on from book 1, although it does recap things and could be a stand-alone listen, IMHO, it's still best to be listened to after the first one. What a heartbreaking emotional journey these books take you on as it flips from present day then to 5 years prior when the accident shattered lives and stole so many hopes and dreams.

This book has plenty of heartache because the coming to terms with his loss, forgiving her sister and moving forward in his life seems too difficult a challenge for Caleb but he tries to give it his best shot. Luckily Emma is a strong, thoughtful and loving woman but will her love be enough to set him free.

This is such an emotional, heartbreaking and romantic story about second chances and the pitfalls and strength that's needed to make new and beautiful memories. There's tender, touching and romantic scenes, hot sex scenes, heart-to-heart scenes and bare your soul to the world scenes and beneath them all is a passionate love story that's got lots of sex, some dirty talk, plenty of drama and angst, a plot twist and a "you'll never see it coming" shocking revelation.

Dual P.O.V.'s and dual narrators who both did a great job.

Worth the credit? It does eventually get to the HEA of Caleb's and Emma's love story together and it gives a glimpse of what's happening in Brett and Jesse's lives from book 1.......so YES a creditworthy listen.

Disappointed in Stolen

I have read many of Aly’s books, this was by far my least favorite. I did not care for Caleb’s character, he was a bossy jerk. The couples constant fighting was a downer.

I struggled to get through this one

Disclaimer, I'm starting this series with this book.

The story - I totally understand that Caleb has gone through a lot, but man, he's a bit of an ass. Ok no, he's A LOT of one. I hated the way he treated Sarah. It was just a clear sign of the kind of man he really is. I did't like Emma and all the screaming and screeching she apparently does. I didn't like that it almost felt as in order to make Caleb's relationship with Emma "ok" the author kinda bashed his relationship with Manda. Bringing up the fact that she wouldn't commit to him, that they argued a lot, that they would break up and get back together again. Well if it was that awful, why would he still be hung up on her and hating Sarah so fiercely ? Then there was the fact that it seems like they're both playing this control game, who has the upper hand in the relationship. Also, another thing I could not get past is the fact that Emma knows, she KNOWS how much Caleb hates her sister, wishes she was dead in fact, but is totally ok being with him.

The narration - yes, Christian's voice is sexy. But if you listen to the whole scene when he arrives at the scene of the accident, you'll notice that although he does insert a good amount of emotion to Caleb's character, the rest of them fall flat. That tends to carry over through the rest of the book. Lucy wasn't earth shaking either. Just, forgettable. I can't say I'll listen to anything else in this series at all.

💜💜

Wow this series!!! This series is super emotional but this book though, holy geez the revelations and secrets are so deep and real that I thought my heart was going to explode; in shock, in anticipation and in pain.

I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out but geez I didn’t know if I would survive it!

Definitely a must read but I highly recommend reading them in order.

Phenomenal

loved this if I could give 6☆ I would.
A brilliantly planned story, enough angst and laughter peppered throughout. I really felt a vested interest in each of the characters. Often feel like the book ends too quickly, but this one unfolded a little more and I really got a more rounded experience because of it.I will definitely be looking at other books from this author.

Loved!!!

I always knew that Caleb’s story would be angsty and highly emotional, and Aly Martínez didn’t disappoint. After meeting him in CHANGING COURSE, I couldn’t comprehend how he would move forward and find his HEA again after losing Manda. I loved Emma - she was so feisty and bubbly that you knew straight away that she would be the perfect match for Caleb. These two together, both in and out of the bedroom were volatile and intense. At times, they were both so stubborn and pig headed that I wanted to scream at them both, but it made them so real and flawed as characters. I loved the way this story unfolded; this wasn’t an easy story to read as it was packed full of angst and twists, yet delivered on the feels and tears. I can truly say that I was so satisfied with the way Ms. Martínez brought Caleb’s story full circle.
