Publisher's summary

What happens when the god of chaos wins a divine poker game?

Bee-girls.

The life of a giant bee is a simple one. The life of a giant bee when her queen turns the entire hive into human-like apis to fend off an attack? That’s a good deal more complicated.

Getting down from a 50-foot giant rose without wings while surviving the attacks of malevolent wasps is just a start. Surviving long enough to figure out what to do with her new life proves to be something of a challenge, but at least that much is understandable.

Of course, that’s when she gets sucked into the tangled web of an ambitious demon lord who’s threatening to plunge the world into a war.

The only question is, are the gods done with her yet?

a very good read

This is the first lit rpg like novel book I've listened to from this author though if focused more on the story rather than stats which is good. It was enjoyable from start to finish and I only wish it was a little longer though.

Gamers might like it.

In essence it's a story about a new race/ new expansion in a video game world. The characters don't know its a video game, but it's clearly a video game. I'm a gamer I liked it. Ready for next in series.

Fun female-centric LitRPG

This book was a fun listen with excellent voice talent. The RPG portion is a little less crunchy than many LitRPG books while also using dialog to give exposition about the world and how things work. These sessions of exposition ocassionally slow the pacing, but only in reasonable places and never too long to be a distraction. Finally, my favourite feature: no heavy handed politics that can sometimes become a distraction in female centric books. The story is key here, and the characters just happen to primarily be female. It works, and it works well.

I've listened to a few of the authors others book and this is their best one by far. I can't wait for the next book to find out what else happens with Joy.

Such a Cute Story and Characters!

I loved this story so much that I bought the sequel novel long before I finished the first novel.

The story surrounds bee women and a fictional world where everyone seems to be living in an MMORPG, but unaware of this. The world building is lovely and the story is adorable. The "bee girls" are absolutely adorable and you will quickly find yourself rooting for them. While there are plenty of romantic encounters and relationships, they feel pretty realistic, given the setting, and add to thee story.

Beautiful world building, fun and cute characters, and an interesting plot will have you screaming, "For the Queen!" in no time!
